Louisiana- (Ammoland.com)- We have to understand our enemy.

Yes, I call the anti-rights gun-grabbers our enemy.  They want the average citizen disarmed.

The gun grabbers want us dependent on the government for our safety.  We need to understand our enemy so we can better persuade the average guy on the street that we are right and our enemy is wrong.  That is how we will retain our right of armed self-defense.

The gun-grabbers want to punish honest gun owners even though we have not hurt anyone.

That is bigotry, plain and simple. They are anti-rights bigots.

If you don’t want a firearm, then don’t own one.  But these anti-rights gun grabbers want to use the government to enforce their bigotry on everyone.  The anti-rights bigots say that all private gun owners have to be disarmed since someone.. somewhere.. is evil.  Their reasoning is simple, if misguided.  Let me explain where the anti-rights bigots are wrong and we are right.

The bigoted gun-grabber believes he is performing a balancing test of competing harms.  The bigots know it is bad to weaken honest citizens.  The bigots also know that evil exists, and they want bad people disarmed.  The bigot imagines that bad people get guns from honest gun owners.  The gun-grabbing bigot says, ‘some people are bad, so we need to take guns away from all civilians.’  Their solution is to weaken everyone.. at the point of a gun.

The bigots ignore that criminals don’t get guns through regulated outlets.  The gun grabbers don’t care that all of us become more vulnerable when ordinary citizens are disarmed.  The  anti-rights bigots are willing to eliminate the right of self-defense in order to feed their anti-gun fantasy.  Our lives are an inconsequential sacrifice to their utopian vision of a gun-free society.  Our lives don’t matter.

Do you hear the contradiction inherent in those bigoted assumptions?  The fearful gun grabber didn’t take his question one important step further.  If some men are evil, then why concentrate power in the hands of a few government officials?  The gun grabbers ignore that important question.   A politician can not be trusted with power any more than the citizens who elected him.  I will go a step further.  We should not give great power to politicians and the police because some men are evil and all men are weak in the face of temptation.  The anti-rights bigot ignores that.  He simply clings tighter to his gun-free fantasy and puts a halo on politicians and the police.

We shouldn’t do that.  History shows us that great power leads to great violence.  We might pretend that people are different today, but history also says that human nature is the one unchanging thing throughout history.  We’ve seen that sociopaths are drawn to power, and we’ve seen sociopaths in politics and in the police force before.

So who should have power?  The American experiment believed in a strong populace and a weak government.  Stated simply, I trust my neighbor’s judgment.  I’m willing to empower him with tools of self-defense.  I’m willing to let my neighbor have powerful tools even though those tools could be misused.  I’m far more willing to trust my neighbor.. than to trust a politician.

That is what I learned from history.  That is what we have to teach our fellow citizens in order to protect our right of armed self-defense.  The good news is that our neighbors believe us rather than the anti-rights bigotsWe are winning.

Who do you trust with power, your neighbor.. or a politician?

Graham: That was quite a treatise. But it did not answer my question(s). Nice try; start over.

Quoted from a random source after a search using DDG (not google) 10 signs for spotting a sociopath #1) Sociopaths are charming. Sociopaths have high charisma and tend to attract a following just because people want to be around them. They have a “glow” about them that attracts people who typically seek guidance or direction. They often appear to be sexy or have a strong sexual attraction. Not all sexy people are sociopaths, obviously, but watch out for over-the-top sexual appetites and weird fetishes. #2) Sociopaths are more spontaneous and intense than other people. They tend to do bizarre, sometimes… Read more »

Burkely: So what was the name of the physician who diagnosed the police officers you mentioned as sociopaths? I will be waiting for your reply.

Fed Up

That photo caption is wrong. That’s not Loretta Lynch. That’s Valerie Jarret. That’s Obama’s number 2, likely ahead of Biden in Obama’s mind.

Burkely

Louis Eppolito and Stephen Caracappa the nypd “hitman cops” now serving life in prison.

Eric, Michael and Tyler obviously don’t have access to dictionaries (or even know what a dictionary is). So three strikes in total. Anyone care to answer my question with specific verifiable examples instead of rambling on with unproven anecdotes?

>Here’s the problem: It’s just a fact that owning a gun makes the gun owner less safe.

Actually, the problem is that your “fact” isn’t the least bit factual.

Odysseus M Tanner

“It’s just a fact that owning a gun makes the gun owner less safe.” This is a common misconception, due to a simple error in data interpretation (basically, confuses average risk for the actual distribution) – see “ecological fallacy.” Pretty obvious once you think about it. But it’s a favorite anti-gun meme, still hoodwinking followers to this day.

That and of course there is bigotry against people of arms.

Tyler Cruse

Certainly, there are bad people in every profession. It seems that our government and Bloomberg associates have more than their fair share. However, people that legally bear arms are probably the most law abiding group in the country. Since I am in Texas, I will quote the stats from Texas and let you make up your own mind. Stats from the Texas DPS website. Conviction rate for Peace Officers, CHL holders and the general public. 2011 Stats: General public = 362.47 per 100,000 Peace Officer = 103 per 100,000 CHL holder = 23.14 per 100,000 Yup! Peace officers in TX… Read more »

What they want is Obama’s civilian brown shirt force to take power over the citizens and protect them from us and the police force. They simply do not trust the police or military to carry out the house to house search for firearms. This is the very reason we need to keep Hillary out of the whitehouse.. She will be obama 2.0 on gun control.

Michael

This article nailed it…even if the point sailed over Clark’s head.
To wit, gun control supporters want people disarmed because some people are evil. But they ignore the fact that those in law enforcement (who would retain firearms) are no less prone to the temptations of evil than anyone else.
The only equitable position is to recognize the right of all individuals to their own self defense.

Brian

Haha. People that are “anti-gun” are now “bigots?” I think I’ve heard it all now.

Here’s the problem: It’s just a fact that owning a gun makes the gun owner less safe. It’s a fact that the gun owner is much more likely to hurt themselves, their families, or an innocent person with a gun than they are to use it in self defense.

I’m not an “anti-gun bigot” just someone that lives in reality. And the reality is that owning a gun makes you LESS safe.

Eric

Lots of sociopaths in police and every other job in America. Too many people confuse sociopath and psychopath because most don’t know what they are or even mean. Clark you seem butthurt everytime people point out bad cops , you seem like your a retired LEO , maybe had normal cops around you. I have known cops that loved to beat , shoot people , others that did drugs. I was run over by an off duty drunk cop . Facts are facts bad people exist in all jobs.

Clark Kent

Where, exactly, has the USA seen ‘sociopaths in the police force before’? And don’t bother to answer unless and until you look up the word ‘sociopath’ in the dictionary.
