Online Registration for Youth Hunts Open in Alabama

Montgomery, AL -(AmmoLand.com)- Three youth deer hunts are scheduled for the Fred T. Stimpson Community Hunting Area in Clarke County this fall and online registration is now open.

To register for the hunts sponsored by the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries, visit the hunting section of outdooralabama.com. The hunting area is located off Clarke County Road 15, approximately 12 miles south of Jackson, Ala.

Hunters must be younger than 16 on the day of the hunt and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, a properly licensed adult 25 years old or older, and only the youngster may hunt. Drawing dates for a spot in the hunts are Oct. 30, Nov. 13 and Dec. 4. Hunt dates are Nov. 14, Nov. 28 and Dec. 19.

Each youngster may register for any or all of the hunt dates. Once selected for a hunt, the youngster will not be eligible for a future hunt unless all applicants have been selected for a hunt. Each of the three hunts will be limited to 100 hunters. Registration must be received by 8 a.m. on the draw date to be considered for that hunt. After 10 a.m. on the draw date, applicants can check their draw results online.
