Groton, CT -(AmmoLand.com)- The Connecticut Citizens Defense League (The state’s largest grass-roots gun rights group) is speaking out against calls for more gun control made by elected officials from Connecticut.”

Comment from CCDL President Scott Wilson:

“Once again we have Governor Malloy spouting off for more gun control before any facts are out about who may have committed the atrocity in San Bernadino and why they committed it. Once again we also have Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty, Senator Chris Murphy and Senator Richard Blumenthal parroting calls for more gun control out of their playbook. It is obvious that in their minds, law abiding citizens of the United States would be better off walking around completely defenseless with no means to protect themselves.”

Wilson Added:

“While CCDL typically tries to refrain from commenting in the early stages of mass murders involving firearms, it is becoming increasingly harder to do so given the fact that elected officials run to the microphone while these events are still in progress. A sane person would be foolish to listen to any of these people, given that their ultimate goal is to eradicate our 2nd Amendment, and to disarm the population of this country. Therefore, it is the duty of this organization to counter outrageous statements made to today from these officials.”

Wilson Concluded with a reference to last weeks press release:

“Based on comments today by President Obama about possible terrorists, CCDL refers to a press release from last week for details.”

About the CCDL:

The Connecticut Citizens Defense League was formed in 2009 by a small group of concerned citizens as a non-partisan organization to advocate second amendment rights in the state of Connecticut. Since their founding, the group has grown to over 20,000 members from across the state. Thanks to this large supportive base, the CCDL has become a fixture at the state capitol, and well recognized by committees that see firearms related bills. As the go-to organization in the state they are consulted regularly by lawmakers who have questions and concerns about pending legislation or existing laws.

In addition to bigger and bolder signs proclaiming “GUN FREE ZONE, ” shouldn’t there also be new and equally big and bold signs proclaiming “PIPE BOMB FREE ZONE..” These signs and policies have proven so effective – by the people also responsible for the war on drugs, the war on hunger, illegal immigrants/invaders and prohibition. Yes, boys and girls, I’m from the government and I’m here to help you. Give up your independence and let me help you.

Senator Murphy declared that 99% of Connecticut’s citizens agree with President Obama that any person on the NO FLY list should not be able to purchase a firearm! Where does this elected official, a U.S. Senator, get his information from? Completely false and remarkedly stupid remarks such as that are more proof that we desperately need a BIG change in our elected representatives!
Our elected officials have taken oaths to protect and uphold our Constitution. We MUST show them that we will not tolerate Obama’s constant attempts to trample on our Rights!

all three of the Connecticut senators and congressman were dead quiet until their master obama had issued their marching orders. They are parrots as they only repeat what obama wants, not the American people. I am the silent majority.
