Gilbert, AZ –-(Ammoland.com)- Thanks to your generous support, as 2015 rapidly winds down we can look back at a very successful year for Knife Rights.

2015 saw us pass five (5) pro-knife bills in four states: Maine, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas.

We stopped a machete ban in New York and with our partners defeated Ivory and Mammoth Ivory bans in 12 states.

2015 also saw us win a huge victory in our New York City civil rights lawsuit, with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit unanimously ruling that the lawsuit will proceed, reversing the District Court’s erroneous dismissal of the case on procedural “standing” grounds. The calendar for that case has been set and we are moving towards adjudication this coming Spring.

2016 starts with new opportunities and carry-over opportunities to finish efforts started in 2015 as well. Knife Rights will be running Knife Law Preemption and Knife Ban Repeal bills in up to ten states this year. Expect the first of these to be announced within the next few weeks. We already have carry-over bills in Michigan, New York and Wisconsin half way to the finish.

The new year will also bring plenty of challenges. We will face a host of anti-knife bills, including Ivory and Mammoth Ivory bans.
