NASGW Elects Gary Zurn to Board of Directors

Oakbrook Terrace, IL -(AmmoLand.com)- The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW) has announced that Gary Zurn, Partner & Senior Vice President-Industry Relations, Big Rock Sports, LLC, has been elected to the NASGW Board of Directors for a two year term.

Kent Williams of Williams Shooters Supply, Brad Burney of L.M. Burney Distributors and Larry Massimo of Davidson's, Inc., were also re-elected to the Board.

Zurn has been a board member of the American Sportfishing Association (ASA) for 10 years, the Keep America Fishing Advisory Board, board member for the Take a Kid Fishing Foundation for Eastern NC, served 22 years as a member of Big Rock Sports' senior management team with 15 of those years as an owner/partner. He's also been active in the industry in a range of various other leadership positions.

“We are excited to have Gary join us on the leadership team to help us strengthen the association's impact on the industry and share our confidence in two-step distribution. Gary brings a wealth of background and experience to the Board of Directors,” said Kenyon Gleason, NASGW President. “I'm confident that Gary is going to make an important and positive impact on our organization.”

Zurn is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with majors in criminal justice and constitutional law.

He has enjoyed living on the North Carolina coast for the past 22 years with his wife of 27 years, Ruth and his son Graig, who also works for Big Rock Sports at corporate headquarters in Graham, NC.
