Orange, NJ –  -(Ammoland.com)- Orange, NJ PD Detective Sergeant Chris Garey is again caught in misconduct – refusing to accept concealed carry applications, senselessly delaying another citizen from applying for purchase permits, and boasting how he carries all the time.

If law enforcement agrees that being armed is a great way to protect yourself, it’s unconscionable that they would persistently delay purchase permits and categorically refuse to accept concealed carry applications.

New Jersey treats those outside law enforcement without political connections as second class citizens whose lives are completely expendable.

We demand the immediate abolishment of “justifiable need” in the state of NJ, and affording all law-abiding citizens the right to concealed carry. Otherwise, in lieu of this, we call upon the Trenton state house to immediately become a gun-free zone, and have all state troopers removed along with their guns, so that our state’s legislators can be as exposed to the same dangers we disarmed, law-abiding citizens endure. Anything less is total hypocrisy; our lives are being deemed less valuable than politicians, unworthy of the same protection and rights.

Our representatives and governor refuse to meet us on these issues. We’ve been ignored for years, and people in New Jersey are literally dying because of it. The time for discussions and debate is over. NJ2AS will no longer play patty-cake in Trenton or attend senseless hearings where testimony falls on deaf ears. We will work tirelessly to expose the hypocrisy, racism, sexism, and elitism of New Jersey’s politicians, law enforcement, and judges that cooperate to maintain an active caste system with second class citizens in our home state.

Visit http://www.NJ2AS.com and donate to help introduce concealed carry for all, and an end to senseless, arbitrary, and inconsistent permitting denials and delays.

I checked out the racial make up of that department and found out they don’t really even have one token honkey working there. Just a bunch of African obama supporters.

Did anyone send this to the police chief and cc the mayor and governors office so that they can see for themselves which “quality” personnel they have on their payroll?? Make a DVD and send the link as well.. Not going to repeat what’s already been said here but This is one lazy detective – he was SO wrong and I’m thinking his office would be required to do the work which is the reason he’s recommending to not apply… totally lazy & lying and needs to have his badge stripped.. to all those law abiding citizens out there who… Read more »

Why do detectives need to carry a gun? When they aren’t working at their desk, they’re at a crime scene surrounded by uniformed cops.

This guy is a major tool.
By his own standard he does not deserve to have a gun or permit.
His standard is that a gun could be taken from you so you don’t get one.
He admits that he could have his taken from him. Therefore he is unworthy under his own standard.
He states 21 years old are too young.immature to have a hand gun. The Ferderal gov. says you are able and will train you to kill.
you need to make an appointment , I am not giving out appts,

This cop needs to be fired and disarmed . He is part of the problem and not part of the solution. There is a power hungry cop here, speaks to being ‘out of control’. These are the cops who think they are above the law. and end up killing innocent citizen and generally get away with it.

My message is to Christie…..why don’t you be the power of change you like to talk about. It starts with one and spreads to many…..You be the one to initiate this change in the archaic, medieval gun laws NJ hides behind……you want to be President of this country??? Start in your own state, before you bring your ways to the entire country.
Set the standard rather than leading from behind…..

My message is to Christie…………quit bloviating about how good you are for NJ. Instead of telling us you support the 2nd, why don’t you show us? It starts with one and ends with many. You should be the one to initiate the change and many will follow…..I guarantee you that much.
Be the force to make change in NJ, not just another politician telling the sheep what they have already heard…..enough of the double talk. Actions speak volumes. As the Nike ad says “Just do it”.

You don’t need a permit to carry in Orange, and in the surrounding towns of Irvington, East Orange, Newark, Jersey Sh*ty….the gangsta bros carry all the time w/o one. They don’t need a FID card, NICS check, background check, mental health check, domestic violence check, permit to purchase, or permission from the Chief of Police or this d*ck-wad. They don’t need to comply to one gun a month…

This is just another name for corruption. And it’s always in the same corrupt places: New Jersey, New York, Illinois.

Orange, NJ PD Detective Sergeant Chris Garey should be fired immediately and then his firearms permit revoked. Let him go thru the process.
