Wilsonville, OR -(AmmoLand.com)- Just when 1911 handgun owners thought wood and polymer materials were the only types of upgrade grip options for their popular pistols, Crimson Trace now offers aluminum and ivory colored Lasergrips.
The Wilsonville, Oregon based company will soon be releasing these 1911 options that incorporate new surfaces and innovative features.
If bling is the thing, then look at the new LG-922 (red) and LG-922G (green) Lasergrips with stunning silver anodized aluminum grips. These Lasergrips also include: Crimson Trace’s patented Instinctive Activation, a master on/off switch, and user adjustable windage and elevation inset screws. This product is easy to install and requires no special gunsmithing skills or difficult-to-find tools. Simply remove the existing grips from the pistol’s frame, set the Crimson Trace Lasergrips into place, and re-install the securing screws. The Manufacturer Suggested Retail Prices begin at $399 with the red diode Lasergrip LG-922.
Next, if a stealthy dark look is sought on the 1911 pistol, consider the new Crimson Trace Lasergrips LG-923 (red) and LG-923G (green) with a subdued black anodized finish atop the lightweight and durable aluminum grips. The grips are precision machined, incorporate a unique cross-check pattern to aid with firearm control, and incorporate the same operating features of the LG-922 Lasergrips. Suggested retail prices are also similar to that model.
Anyone with a 1911 who likes to impress will want to obtain the ivory colored Lasergrips (LG-926 red and LG-926G green). These Lasergrips are crafted from durable G10 with a custom checkering exterior surface. No ivory, however, is used in the manufacturing of this product. A smaller version—the Lasergrips LG-927—is available to fit compact pistols. These Lasergrips have the same features as the other Crimson Trace Lasergrips designed for 1911s. MSRPs begin at $399 for the LG-926.
The full-size Lasergrips can be easily installed onto 1911 and 1991A1 frames with grip screws spaced 3-1/16th inches apart. The compact LG-927 fits smaller 1911 frames with grip screws measuring 2-11/16th inches apart. These new products are also covered under the industry exclusive Crimson Trace Free Batteries for Life program.
Crimson Trace also continues to offer numerous models of Lasergrips for 1911 pistols with red and green lasers and numerous woods, including: rosewood, walnut, cocobolo and burlwood. For shooters seeking more durable synthetic replacement grips for their 1911s, the upgrade options include: G10 Gray, G10 Green/Black, Carbon Fiber and the stunning P14 Chainmail with its prominent black and white diamond pattern.
