Albuquerque, NM -(Ammoland.com)- Over the past few months, the Survival Trial Newsletter has been abuzz with NEWS Reports from the Survival Trial Arena.
Depicting more instability in the ST Arena than previous years, the climate proves to be a challenging series of events for the upcoming Competitors. All Survival Trial scenarios are taken directly out of current NEWS, however the ST Arena NEWS reports offer the 2016 Competitors a better idea in the state of the ST Arena before setting foot in it. This gives opportunity to properly prepare and have a better idea of what gear to have with them to be successful.
The 2016 Survival Trial format places Competitors in a narrative, allowing them to maneuver a “Choose Your Own Adventure” experience while giving freedom to act and evolve in the ST Arena. This Concept allows for a fluid experience, one that is dictated by the Competitor’s response to a situation, much like our everyday Life.

About Survival Trial:
Survival Trial is a 24-48 hour, survival-based adventure race that incorporates Orienteering, First Aid, Physical Fitness and Defensive Shooting Engagements with various problem solving survival situations. Survival Trial is not a linear race, meaning Competitors get to choose their path in the ST Arenas. Taking place at the beautiful NRA Whittington Center in NE New Mexico, Survival Trial Arenas range from 52 to 120 square miles of rugged mountainous and high desert terrain.

Damn! Now that I feel every bump and bruise from jumping out of slicks, ducking bullets, mortars, short rounds and rpgs, and counting our steps to know where we are on the grid map, and carrying everything we needed for a week at a time. Now when I consider a good day, to be when I’m not aching from arthritic pain…….somebody makes a game of it!
Caveat emptor!
