Kennesaw, GA -(AmmoLand.com)- Yamaha Motor Corp., USA, the leading manufacturer of ATV and Side-by-Side (SxS) vehicles for ranchers and farmers, recently earned ATV.com’s 2015 “Utility ATV of the Year” Award for the all-new 2016 Kodiak 700.

“The Kodiak 700 is setting new standards for affordable, durable, hard working ATVs, and it’s exciting to see ATV.com recognize its superior value and performance,” said Steve Nessl, marketing manager for Yamaha’s ATV/SxS group. “Yamaha designed the Kodiak 700 based on research and feedback from farmers and ranchers across the U.S., and we agree – it’s the best utility ATV out there.”

ATV.com described 2015 as “… a very good year for off-road enthusiasts and with the introduction of many new or improved models coming in the 2016 model year the future looks very bright.” Among the heavy competition from many new or updated vehicles by other manufacturers, the Kodiak 700 stood out as the best for its utility-specific design with ranching and farm work in mind.

“The comfort that is built into the ergonomics of this machine make it easier to handle and smoother during mount and dismount,” said Rick Sosebee, journalist for ATV.com. “Seating is plush for that all-day sit down trail ride or the ride along miles of fence line on the farm. This Kodiak is Yamaha’s big bore working machine and it has our vote for quality and reliability that we know and trust from the Newnan Georgia manufacturer.”

The Kodiak 700 features a DOHC, 708-cc engine with optimized engine character to deliver smooth power and strong torque for all-day comfort and ease of use. Along with the new engine, Yamaha incorporated the Mikuni fuel injection system with 44mm bore and throttle position sensor supporting easy cold starts and flawless fuel delivery in nearly any condition.

Kodiak 700s also incorporate Yamaha’s Ultramatic fully automatic CVT transmission with high, low, reverse, and neutral. A gate-style shifting lever lets you easily select the drive setting, while a mechanical rider-engaged two-wheel drive / four-wheel drive system with handlebar-mounted setting selection lever lets you decide when to engage four-wheel traction. Color options on the Kodiak 700 include Red, Hunter Green, Steel Blue, Realtree Xtra and Carbon Metallic for the Special Edition. Starting MSRP is $6,999.
