Lewiston, ID -(AmmoLand.com)- Freedom Munitions– America’s largest direct-to-consumer manufacturer of ammunition– announces the immediate release of their first line of hunting ammunition, Boar Buster.

As with all of Freedom Munitions’ offerings, Boar Buster is proudly made in Lewiston, Idaho, USA. Freedom Munitions’ Boar Buster ammunition was designed for flawless function and performance when hunting with modern sporting rifles.

Utilizing only the most dependable primers, brass cases and Vihtavuori powder, Boar Buster features a Nosler Bonded Performance bullet making it one of the most lethal combinations against feral hogs, bears and other animals with thick hides and strong bones. The Bonded Performance bullet has been designed for reliable feeding, controlled expansion, weight retention and deep penetration. Unlike other bullets that are designed to be frangible, the Bonded Performance bullet is designed to stay intact and create a more devastating temporary and permanent wound cavity.

“We developed Boar Buster because we saw a need in the market for a modern sporting rifle specific hunting load ammunition that feeds reliably and achieves the deadly performance that is needed to stop a boar in its tracks,” stated B.J. Norris, Marketing Manager. “Freedom Munitions decided that our customers’ ammunition should actually do what the box says it can do.”

Featuring a bonded solid base projectile, Boar Buster ensures prevention of core-jacket separation.

“The jacket and core of the bullet are chemically bonded together which creates a consistent mushrooming effect that is ideal for penetrating thick hides and crushing bones,” said Jansen Jones, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Freedom Munitions.

Initial offerings will be a 64 grain 223 Remington and 168 grain 308 Winchester. For pricing and to purchase Freedom Munitions’ Boar Buster Ammunition, visit www.FreedomMunitions.com.

“we saw a need in the market for a modern sporting rifle specific hunting load…”

These rounds are for teh AR-15 and the AR-10. Can’t get .338 Lapua Mag in an AR. Yet. AFAIK.

Wild Bill

AFAIK?

Eric_CA

As Far As I Know.

Wild Bill

Oh, thank you sir.

TEX

Bill, that kinda reminded me of that HRC thing ! First time I heard of AFAIK too.

Not to worry. These Facebook/twitter communicators have their abbreviations, and we have ours. I bet they don’t don’t under stand CEOI, FEBA, or REMF either. God forbid that they would ever need to know, but if it comes to that we will just learn ’em up. And in the mean time, the good ones will learn us up.

ARHunters

Look up the Alexander Arms: ULFBERHT .338 LAPUA MAGNUM
It is a Semi-auto .338LM in a similar to AR platform. Also .338Federal is shot regularly out of the AR-10 platform. My brother had us build one custom and has so far killed a Black Bear & Barbary Sheep with it (See ARHunters.com) and Wilson Combat just announced they will now offer .338Federal production models.

I have got to ask–are animals growing body armor? We have the recent year’s batch of super calibers through the .338 Lapua Mgnum (an offshoot of the .338/.416 Rigby) and various super everyday now magnum rounds fully capable of blowing the front quarters off an elk. How did people years ago hunt with the little tiny toy (by comparison).30-30 or the now considered under powered (really???) .308 winchester.

Wild Bill

Somebody must want super calibers or the business will fail. Or perhaps whomever is creating the demand for faster, harder hitting ammunition have something other than elk in mind. Maybe someone thinks that they will need this stuff when TSHTF.
