Flushing, Michigan – -(Ammoland.com)-Carbon Express, the Leader in arrow technology, is proud to announce that Pro Staff shooter Stephan Hansen has won gold in the 2016 European Archery Championship.

National Danish team member Stephan Hansen has won gold in the individual men’s compound division and in the men’s team competition in the 2016 European Archery Championship.

Stephan Hansen claimed the gold medal in the competition with victory over Dutch defending champion Peter Elzinga. During the finals Elzinga strayed two arrows into the nine over the last two ends. Hansen shot the last two ends flawlessly, delivering the final 10 using his Nano Pro arrows. Fellow Carbon Express teammate Dominique Genet of France also beat Croatia’s Ivan Markes by a point in the last end to win the individual men’s bronze medal for team Carbon Express using his Nano Pro’s.

Stephan additionally participated in the men’s compound team event with fellow Danish teammates Martin Damsbo and Andreas Darum. Andreas is new to the Danish team and one of the newest members of the Carbon Express pro staff. The team performed flawlessly and was able to secure another gold medal at the event for the Carbon Express pro staff.

Other notable performances at this event for the Carbon Express came from recurve archers Patrick Huston and Mete Gazoz

Patrick Huston secured the team silver medal and an individual bronze in the Men’s Recurve Final. Patrick is always a crowd favorite and was able to gain their support in the individual by opening with a 9, 10, 10 using his Nano Pro X-Treme arrows during the Men’s individual recurve event taking the first set against Frenchman Lucas Daniel. Patrick won the match with a final score of 6:2. The gold medal match eventually went to Jean-Charles Valladont of France, who beat off fierce competition from fellow Carbon Express teammate Mete Gazoz of Turkey, taking the title in a close match of 6:4.This two medal win’s for Patrick qualifies him for a shot at Olympic gold in Rio.

16-year-old Mete Gazoz is also a new member of the Carbon Express pro staff and was able to secure Individual silver in the Men’s Recurve final using his Nano Pro X-Treme arrows. Mete amazing performance will qualifies him for a shot at Olympic gold in Rio. Mete has a very bright future ahead of him and someone to pay close attention to in the future. Carbon Express is very excited to have this talented young man on their team.
