The new Guardian clearing device provides a safe and secure method in which to ensure a pistol is clear, avoiding any accidental or negligent discharge of a handgun. The device measures 11.5” x 4” x 4.5” in overall dimensions, weighs just 13 lbs. and is made from ¼ inch AR500 steel. It features Range Systems exclusive Dura-Bloc™ ballistic rubber interior for safely capturing the round. Dura-Bloc is manufactured from Range Systems patented rubber composite made entirely from recycled rubber particles which contain fire extinguishing properties, UV protection, and can endure extreme climate conditions. The soft poly cap located on the front of the unit protects the weapon upon insertion without scratching or catching. The pre-drilled holes allow the Guardian Compact Clearing Trap to be securely mounted to virtually any surface – vehicle trunk, workbench, shooting table, etc. The device is finished in durable hammered gray powder coat paint.
