USA -( Want to head “North to Alaska” this summer? If you do want to fish the waters in and around here, we’ll be sharing three options with you this week.

We’ll talk to Captain Mike Boles, owner of Sitka Point Lodge and Charters about fishing near Sitka and with Rachel Parks about exploring Glacier Bay National Park and the fishing around there while staying at the Annie Mae Lodge. Would you rather go on a do-it-yourself adventure? Consider renting a Budget rental car and exploring the huge number of trout and salmon fishing available on Kodiak Island.

Heading a bit south of Alaska, Matt Guiget at Rugged Point Lodge on Vancouver Island will tell you about the strange conundrum going on for his lodge and others on the Island. They’ve got the best salmon fishing forecast they’ve seen in years and a surprising number of openings are still not booked. Matt will explain why the economic problems of one Canadian region give American anglers a last minute opportunity this summer.

In addition to this we’ll be sharing two innovative fishing product reviews with you when we talk to Eric Jungblom with Lee Lock Anchor Systems and Jim Cardillo, a pro-staffer for Reel Sonar who will tell you about the iBobber. Last but not least, we’ve got outdoor news and some new inductees on our Trail of Shame who traveled from Oregon to California to trash an island at Lake Shasta last month.
