USA –  -( Somewhere, everyday in the USA, 2100+ people use a gun for self defense, to stop a crime or save the lives of themselves or their family.

“We believe that the American public deserve to understand that on the average, guns save 2,191 lives and are used to thwart crimes every day,” says Alan Gottlieb of the Second Amendment Foundation

Most times you won't see these tales on the news as it does not fit the main stream media's story line of “Guns and Gun Owners are Bad“.

This is just one of those stories;

A pair of thieves, at least one of whom was armed with a gun, approached an off-duty police officer who was with his girlfriend and cousin outside a bar in New York City. An altercation ensued, during which the officer’s cousin was able to retrieve the officer’s gun from his vehicle.

Once armed, the cousin shot one of the robbers. The wounded thief fled the scene, but was found at a local hospital a short time later.

With the incident having occurred in one of the most anti-gun jurisdictions in the country, the New York Post noted that the officer “could face disciplinary charges for not securing his gun and allowing the weapon to fall into the hands of a civilian.”

The wounded robber was determined to be a parolee.

Here again is another stupid law that almost resulted in a couple of law abiding people getting robbed, or hurt cause an unconstitutional law. An off duty cop not being aloud to carry and a family member who came to there rescue and who may be arrest for it. It is time to get rid of these stupid unconstitutional laws. If the police chief let this happen on his watch then he to should be fired.

Good thing that it wasn’t a smart gun.

but it WAS a smart gun.. smart enough to discharge the round when the trigger was pressed backward, and send that round to the precise point the hand that hald it told it to go. Don’t need any smarter than that.
