New Castle, VA -( The National Rifle Association (NRA) will sell Full Metal Coloring: A Book of Down Range Reflection (Lamplight Press) through its online store.

The book will appeal to hunters, target shooters, law enforcement, and the military with its humor, iconic images and educational value.

The artist, Sergeant First Class Kimberly Kolb Eakin (Ret.), competed as a member of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit and served as a military firearms instructor.

She says:

“I am truly honored that the NRA will be offering Full Metal Coloring to its members. Its themes are comfortable for the shooting sports participants and those who carry firearms as part of their profession.”

Seriously?!? Have we REALLY become that shallow a nation? The only time I color is with my grandkids.

Marshall, I appreciate your sentiment. Coloring for adults took me by surprise when I first learned of it too. Nonetheless, it’s a very popular medium touching millions of Americans. I thought it was an appropriate way to showcase our best shooters (Jerry Miculek, Julie Golob, Eric Uptagrafft, Brian Zins, etc), honor the military and celebrate the shooting lifestyle. It’s not for everyone, but it’s another way we can honor the 2A,
