Avian-X, Zink to Sponsor NWTF Grand National Calling Championships


EDGEFIELD, S.C. -(Ammoland.com)- Plano Synergy’s Avian-X and Zink Calls brands will sponsor the several divisions of the 2017 Grand National Calling Championships at the 41st annual National Wild Turkey Federation Convention and Sport Show in Nashville next month.

Avian-X and Zink Calls became the official turkey decoy and call of the NWTF late last year and are excited about the opportunity to sponsor the GNCC. They will sponsor the Owl Hooting, Gobbling, Team Challenge, Friction and Open Divisions this year.

The GNCC are held each year during the annual convention and sport show and are attended by large crowds because they are open to the general public. They offer attendees a chance to hear and learn from world-class turkey callers, many of whom are multi-year champions.

Callers of all ages compete for cash, prizes and bragging rights in eight divisions. The best callers in the world use natural voices, latex mouth calls, pot and peg friction calls, box calls, owl hooting tubes and more to yelp, cluck, putt, gobble and hoot their way to the top spot on stage.

“This is the biggest turkey calling contest in the world, and callers from all over the United States will be in Nashville competing for bragging rights,” said Chris Piltz, NWTF special events coordinator. “We are excited Plano Synergy’s Avian-X and Zink Calls have partnered with us to sponsor many of the divisions, which helps keep the Grand Nationals at the highest level.”
