USA – -(Ammoland.com)- On Thursday, Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke stuck it to his city’s Police Chief, Ed Flynn, and mayor, Tom Barrett, for their unfounded attacks on law-abiding gun owners.
“[Flynn] straight up lied,” Clarke said on NRATV’s “Stinchfield,” referring to the inept Police Chief’s baseless claims that concealed-carry permit holders were responsible for Milwaukee’s rising crime rates.
“America’s Sheriff” was just getting started. “Flynn is an anti-gun zealot,” Clarke said. “He works for an anti-gun mayor, Tom Barrett, who’s a prominent member of the Mayors Against Gun, Mayors Against the Second Amendment. He’s just carrying water for that group.”
Barrett and Flynn’s incompetence has driven Milwaukee to one of the highest per-capita homicide rates in the country, setting new records year after year. Of course, this is not the fault of gun owners, who seem to be the only law-abiding group left in the city. “Since concealed carry was passed in Wisconsin, we have cases, real cases, where people have been able to defend their lives, defend themselves in these criminal situations,” Clarke said.
Rather than scapegoat law-abiding citizens, the inept duo of Barrett and Flynn should focus on eliminating the cancerous gang violence spreading throughout the city. Reforming the public school system, combatting generational poverty, and reducing the astronomical African-American unemployment rate is good start. America’s Sheriff believes restricting the Constitutional rights of its citizens, is not:
“If nothing else people deserve the right, hell they were born with the right, to be able to defend themselves in these situations.”
