FAIRFAX, Va. -(Ammoland.com)- The National Deer Alliance (NDA) is pleased to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation United States Delegation (CIC-US).
Areas of focus for NDA with CIC-US include uniting hunters against wildlife crime, building partnerships on sustainable use of wildlife management/resources, preserving hunting as a cultural heritage and conserving key landscapes under sustainable use wildlife management.
NDA was created in 2014 to serve as the guardian for wild deer conservation and hunting heritage working at the policy level.
“Deer hunters make up more than 80 percent of the hunting industry in the U.S., and therefore can have the loudest voice when it comes to an awareness of global conservation issues. Signing this memorandum of understanding with CIC-US makes perfect sense,” stated Nick Pinizzotto, CEO, National Deer Alliance.
“The 10 million plus American deer hunters represent the largest group of hunters and conservationists worldwide. We are excited to partner with NDA to provide this key group of hunters a platform and voice on a global level. This partnership will create a bridge for all deer hunters, whether in the U.S., Europe, Australia or elsewhere, on critical conservation issues of common interest,” said Rick Capozza, President of the U.S. Delegation of the CIC.
CIC is a globally respected hunter-conservation organization dedicated to promoting sustainable hunting to conserve wildlife and wild lands, support communities, and preserve our hunting heritage across the globe.
CIC’s unique membership structure includes nation states, corporations, and individuals. The U.S. Delegation of the CIC is a 501(c)(3) organization with an independent board and officers and is an affiliate of the International CIC based in Budapest, Hungary.
