USA -(Ammoland.com)- Today Senator David Craig has introduced legislation that would bring constitutional carry to Wisconsin.

The right to carry, concealed or openly, without a permit so long as you are a law-abiding citizens not prohibited from owning/carrying a gun.

This legislation also makes it legal to have a loaded handgun in your personal vehicle while you pick up and drop off kids at school and park on school grounds.

It removes the state prohibition of carry on school grounds and school buildings. It allows local districts to set their own policy on carry on school grounds and school buildings. Even districts that choose to prohibit carry on school grounds cannot prohibit carry in your vehicle.

You no longer have to worry about getting an “accidental felony” for carrying in your car while you drop off and pick up your kids, nor unload and encase your gun when you park on the school lot to attend an event (so long as the gun stays in the car)

No matter who’s district you are in, please sign the legislative petition on Senator Craig’s website supporting constitutional carry. There are also more details about this very important and needed legislation as well:

This is expansive legislation with many facets. I will be devoting the majority of my Sunday broadcast of “Well Armed Radio” to discussing this topic.

Please be welcome to tune in Sunday to “Well Armed Radio” online.

The show airs live at 8pm Central time at the above link.

About Wisconsin Carry, Inc.:

Wisconsin Carry, Inc. is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the preservation and reclamation of the rights of law-abiding Wisconsin residents to carry in the manner of their choosing. We believe that “open carry” and “concealed carry” are choices to be made by law-abiding citizens based on their situation and preference. Wisconsin Carry, like many gun-rights organizations in Wisconsin, is investing a great deal of resources to get Wisconsin law changed to allow concealed carry this next legislative session by proposing Constitutional Carry. Wisconsin Carry, Inc. will continue to use legal recourse to deter unlawful treatment of law-abiding Wisconsin residents who currently exercise their right to open carry, and soon will exercise their right to concealed carry in Wisconsin.

Open Carry with background check approval (less any type of felony charges) should be United States matter of Constitutional law, with right-to-carry concealed or open. If it takes a state by state approval methodology, so be it. Let’s start “NOW” . I’m proud to see Wisconsin leading the way! Don’t let “self” interest groups deter you, you’re carrying the flag of the American people forward with you … you have the vast majority with you !!!

@Glen H, Open Carry without background check approval is a matter of United States Constitutional law, with right-to-carry concealed or open. Please see Amendment 2

Good luck Wisconsin. I think of the day when common sense laws on carry might prevail in California.
