USA -(Ammoland.com)- The end of the 2016-17 school year is rapidly approaching. But the Arizona Game and Fish Department still has two educator workshops remaining this Spring. Limited spots are available in both.

Workshops are free but registration is required.

Saturday, April 22, 2017:

Building Literacy through Wildlife: In this engaging, hands-on workshop, we will introduce educators to practical techniques and ideas to integrate reading and writing into science instruction, with an emphasis on wildlife.

Both fiction and non-fiction readings will be used to engage participants. In addition, a variety of science writing skills will be covered.

Using Primary Source Documents to Understand Wildlife Management: In this workshop, we will provide a brief history of wildlife conservation in North America and explore unique ways to bring this story to your students by using primary source documents.
