Talk is Cheap, President Trump

Louisiana- (  President Donald Trump spoke at the National Rifle Association annual meeting in Atlanta, Georgia.  He said he would defend the constitutional right to keep and bear arms.  Maybe he will, and maybe he won’t.  Talk is cheap, Mister President.  Show us.

-Mr. President, you can prosecute the federal agents who broke the law.  The Obama Department of Justice and the Hillary Clinton State Department sent thousands of guns to Mexican drug lords.  The Obama administration then falsely charged and prosecuted gun shop owners who called and asked why the BATFE approved gun sales to suspected criminals.  Attorney General Jeff Sessions should open an investigation and prosecute the government agents responsible.  The law is clear.  The time for talk is past.

-Mr. President, protect the innocent citizens who are arrested as they traveled from state to state.  Enforce the Firearms Owners Protection Act and prosecute the local officials who violate it.  Furthermore, use 18 U.S. Code § 242  and charge the local officials with deprivation of rights under color of law.  The penalties can be severe.  Yes, I know that some of these government employees were “just following orders”.  Sorry, Officer, but there is no qualified immunity because there is no right to violate the rights of others.

-Mr. President, defend all of our rights.  Put federal money where your mouth is.  Colleges with “free speech zones” the size of a phone booth should not receive federal funds.  Nor should schools and hospitals that establish themselves as “gun free zones”.  Prosecute local officials for infringing on the right to bear arms.  There is precedent, Mr. President.  We called out the national guard to protect our rights before.  Now it is your turn.

-Stop the malicious prosecutions of armed citizens by local officials.  We’ve had Boy Scouts arrested in New York City for having a pen knife on their key chain.  We’ve had homeless people arrested for owning a stun gun for self-defense.  Poor people in our inner cities are priced out of defending themselves in their home and on the public street.  Local officials infringe the rights of the poor through fees and excess regulation.  Stop treating self-defense as a second class right.  Show me, Mr. President.

I must grant President Trump some leeway since his administration still contains some Obama appointees who hate our rights.  These holdovers must be removed or sidelined.  Also, some fault lies with Senators McConnell and Grassley since a number of Trump’s agency secretaries have not yet been confirmed.  To his credit, President Trump appointed a worthy successor to Judge Antonin Scalia.

Here is the hard truth.  The politicians who say they support our rights would rather leave our rights at risk than act to protect them.  They leave our rights in jeopardy so they can raise campaign funds before the next election.  No more.  Time is running out for both the President and the Republican majority we elected.  It is time to act.

    1. I am by a far measure of any kind, an all knowing man. None of us are, and if you think you are, no matter which side of the isle you stand, may you be the one to throw the first rock. I know the things that i know very well, but do not pretend to know the many letters of the law and or laws that amend the amendments to the amendments to the constitutional and GOD given right of the 2nd amendment. I am, however, smart enough to understand the SIMPLE reading and meaning of the 2nd amendment of the constitution. So I took my hat off to the man and or woman that wrote this letter to President Trump, and will assume that they did read and understand everything that they wrote seemingly laying a clear path for the President to SWIFTLY keep his promise to the American people. I campaigned and voted for you Mr. President but through the criticism and verbal fights that I have subjected myself to, I grow weary. When I lay down at night and put my head proudly on my Louisiana State, American Nation pillow and STILL have to worry about the defense of my family, which is MY duty to my family as a husband and a father. To provide for them and to protect them. At my age I am no longer able to lift weights to stay in shape and be a visibly threatening looking guy that you did not only never want to meet in a dark alley, but you also did not want a conflict with me in broad daylight. Now i MUST depend on weapons and the knowledge of knowing when and how to use a gun. My wife and I along with our daughter have all taken the course to initiate the purchase of a CCW permit. We are now versed in all aspects of owning and concealing a gun for our own protection and the protection of our fellow American citizens no matter race or gender. We are all Americans. But since you have not actively and decisively acted on all of the points mentioned, I cannot and will not complete the final paperwork (which requires our fingerprints and a large amount of cash needed) for the permits.( NO REGISTRY!) I did not want the job you have, and i know the country is in peril and needs your utmost attention. I truly get that, but this GREAT country that i live in, that we live in, also needs your immediate attention. Please do not let us down on what is one of the most important campaign promises that you made, that earned you the White House. Read this man’s advise and DESIGNATE WITH AUTHORITY, to Keep America safe and GREAT AGAIN! From a humble son of GOD Almighty and his son, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who saves my soul. May God Bless America.

      1. Wow, I think you picked my brain or at the least have been reading my post and after reading this it sent you over the edge and you decided to write down what you remember me saying. LOL & JK. I thought I wad re-reading my own post that i posted sometime ago. However, this isn’t my post just a lot of what I’ve been thinking. I’m glad you see that ado many people with somewhat intelligence feel the same way i do. Not sure where you live but i have taken the CCW course and actually paid the cost too get my permit. In fact I’m going later today May 6th to my local gun club as they’re having a parking lot sale and discounts on firearms and there club annual membership. It’s great 2 days because i can test every rifle from different manufacturers as well as pistols before i decide on which one i decide to buy. As for me I’m on permanent disability and line you unable to workout and walk into a room and haven people look art me and either are smart and think FUCK if I’m going to mess with him or the ones that think they know what and how to fight and want tho test the waters only to learn they Made a bad choice lol. Although only 5’11″” I was at one time able to bench press 510lbs and leg press 1,240 multiple reps. However, due to a head on car accident and many years of abusing my body physically I’m no longer able to defend myself with intimidation let alone a physical altercation which could lead to my death. I’ve got serious issues with my blood and take several medications every day just to stay alive so I try and stay smart for my wife’s and kids sake lol. I’m no longer in my 20-30’s and invincible, asst least that’s what I thought back then. I’ve had plenty of training and used to train law enforcement from Atlanta, Tennessee and Florida in extra classes on how to properly take down bad guys who would be much larger or perhaps doped up and get the cuffs on quickly so that everyone would walk away without injury hopefully. At 52 i mentally and physically could still take out some young punk and put him on the ground or make him pass out quickly but i will try and avoid that are all cost. Like i teach my kids you never know what your opponent knows or has been taught and you doing want too find out the hard way. There’s always someone bigger, stronger, more knowledgeable and in much better shape than you and they don’t have to be bigger to teach you a lesson. The best way is to not get yourself into those predicaments and you’ll enjoy your saggy/night a lot more. Unlike you however, I did past for my ccw course and am getting a new rifle tomorrow and a new gun easier to carry concealed than my current gun. I love my gun now and will still carry this inn states that allow open carry. I hope I never ever have to pull my gun other than to target practice or to go to bed but want to be ready and prepared in case i am ever caught up in a situation that would deem necessary for deadly force and law isn’t present or won’t be in time. This is the libtards problem is that we don’t want to carry guns to be macho, but to be able to protect ourselves and family 1st and maybe someone else’s life. Thieves are going too break the law and by gun grabbers taking away our 2nd amendments it’s making it much easier for thieves because they know they won’t be met with any resistance. And if they are the libtards in CA have made the criminals the ones with rights, not the victims. Well, until my next rant about libtards like the worse ones starting from the top gov Brown, Pelosi, Feinstein, Waters and now Kamela Harris. I could take an entire page writing all the idiot gun grabbers names like Gavin Newsome. How the fuck does he or any other off these privileged libtards know what’s best for me and how to live my life. They take away land my dad took us camping one as well as hunting spots that I’ll never get to share with my kids or grandchildren because these libtards think it’s better to take it away for future generations. B.S. I’ve seen more developments on property that I use to ride my dirt bike on or go 4 wheeling on because my rubber ties were bad for the environment but yet we all know it’s about some politician getting his pockets full of money while pretending to care about the environment. Politicians are liars and thieves and i pray that Trump really has some balls and puts people line Hilary, her hubby Bill, Comey and many others even Obama who’ve broken the law and end up in jail. Guess my rant wasn’t over sorry. Good night ya’ll, God bless.

    2. WOW! What a bunch of radicals calling for prosecution of government officials and implementation of existing law. I like it and wish you all good luck. By the way, that “water” running down your back is not rain.

    3. Good job Bob. And find out who at Homeland Security decided to have Homeland Security set up camera’s at California Gun Shows to take pictures of the Law Abiding Citizens license plates going to the Gun Shows. And what they intend on doing to the Law Abiding Citizens who went to those gun shows, or what they have done to them. No more “Hillary Clinton” style justice; fire and prosecute them if unlawful or if Homeland Security violate citizens civil/constitutional rights.

    4. The Washington politicians, regardless of their party affiliations, have the same ‘vision’ for America’s future. The Democrats are on a fast track to that vision while the Republicans are on a slow track. The ultimate result will be further curtailment of your personal freedoms.

      1. Never, but NEVER, forget that Democrats and today’s Republicans are the two wings of the same loathsome Socialist carrion-feeder.

        1. Exactly, the biggest difference between a “D” and “R” is the letter of the alphabet.
All we need is the House…
All we need is the House and Senate…
All we need is the House, Senate and Presidency…
All we need is more money…
All we need is for you fools to keep believing our BS.

    5. This terrific article could form the basis for a letter (or thousands of letters) to the President. Does anyone have an address for corresponding with the president?

      1. I was thinking the very same thing WB! This article succinctly states the actions needed to be taken to remove the opponents of U.S. ciizens rights. This is the first article that I’ve read…anywhere…that pulls into play the U.S. code for deprivation of rights under the color of law & that’s a shame. It should be the FIRST argument. The penalties should be enforced to the letter, so the next S.O.B. that wants to that wants to interject their own preferences as an excuse for removing, or even limiting our rights by INVENTING a law of deprivation, would be too afraid to do so.
        A very well written article!

          1. Ok, all you letter writers out there, this is the president’s mailing address (and inside address):
            Hon. Donald J. Trump
            1600 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W.
            Washington, DC 20500
I did you all a favor by giving you the address, now you all do me the favor of being polite when you write to him. Remember you represent the community of responsible gun ownership.
