U.S.A.-(Ammoland.com)- Wilson Combat team member BJ Norris attended the US Steel Shoot in Covington, GA, at the South River Gun Club, March 30th – April 1st.

BJ won the overall Limited division with his Wilson Combat Tactical Carry. He finished the match with a time of 84.40, just a couple seconds shy of his previous world record of 82.44. BJ also placed 3rd overall in the open division and 4th overall in Rimfire Pistol-Optic division.

We asked BJ what it was like to shoot the US Steel Shoot:

“The US Steel Shoot is always one of the most challenging events, as you’re competing with a different platform on each of the three days of the match. It takes an incredible amount of work to ensure not only your practiced with all three guns and ready to perform, but you have three times the equipment to have ready to compete on the national and world stage. By shooting Wilson Combat built guns, I take a lot of that stress away.

I always look forward to the Limited match at the US Steel Shoot. I’m an iron sight shooter at heart, and couldn’t ask for a better gun from Wilson Combat. Even though I was slightly off my world record pace, my final 8 stage time of 84.40 was over 4.5 seconds faster than the 2nd place Limited division time.” – BJ Norris
