One look at their tv show and you know that if Big Idiot Bill and his Idiot Sons had to venture out into the real world and hunt fair chase they would starve to death. Every show starts with them dumping out the latest and greatest gimmick bait and then hunting over it (on one episode the youngest idiot son blamed the person that sighted his gun in for him missing a deer, REALLY?) and then if you look there seems to always be a fence somewhere in the background. The episode that showed Big Idiot Bill dying his goatee… Read more »

The man is a multi millionaire & fines mean NOTHING to him. he needs jail time to get his attention.

If you grew up in the 70s 80s you remember Noel Feather he had to pull all his product off the shelves for bring a deer across state line What Ole Billy Boy was a lot worse and all their product should be removed . What a pc of sh*t he is . Thanks that could have been a disabled Vets . But not you stole that from them .

I don’t watch the whisper channel anymore after watch lLarry W. Open up on a running buck with a lever action and emptying the gun without hitting shit, it was so dark you could not make out what he was shooting at They must have been desperate for footage that episode. This poacher Bill does look like a not job any way, hope hit him with a lifetime ban jackass

When a hunter bags a record class deer it is a combination of skill and luck. When he does it year after year and has a wall full of trophy bucks he is cheating. I was born and grew up in Vermont, home of America’s famous whitetail hunter, Larry Benoit.. All the local folks knew that Benoit was bagging these big bucks in Maine and and reporting them in VT.. He made a lot of $$$$ with his stories in out door magazines. I could go into more detail but won’t because Benoit is dead and can’t defend himself.

In other words, DE MORTVIS, NIL NISI BONVM, eh?

What a “JACKASS”…These outdoor shows are intended to be a leader in the outdoor loving folks showing correct fair chase, etc…. There are a large number of young up and coming hunters, fishermen, outdoorsmen that should not be subjected to such illegal actions… Possibly and hopefully, all will be proved guilty or innocent in court…

Well there are circumstances that we are not privy to that if this was you, you also would be charged with poaching. Even during seasonal hunts. In certain states you not only have to be hunting for the animal you have a tag for but also hunting in the right location. It is not marked that you are in the wrong area but if a guide takes you there and you think he knows what he is doing and you take what you have a tag for and the warden sites you for poaching. So don’t go crazy just because… Read more »

, Uff Da, thank you. That is what fair trials are all about.

I hope someone will report the outcome of the trial

Jeff, take a moment to read the full story, it may change your tune. And no- this kind of stuff really doesn’t happen to hunters on guided hunts… http://oldgobbler.com/Forum/index.php?topic=75848.0

This repeat offender should never again be issued a hunting or fishing permit. Let him eat tofu!

Showtime Pcola FL

Just like the country group Montgomery, Gentry , I think it was Gentry who poached a Black Bear a few years ago and I think he only got a fine ?? There’s No sense in Poaching !!! People like You & Me follow rules & Regulations in our state !! I used to watch wild game nation , not any more !!! Just because he has a hunting show on the Outdoor channel does not give him the power to do this !!! Where ever he was hunting they should Arrest the person or persons & Heavily fine & Revoke… Read more »

@Showtime, You say, “Where ever he was hunting they should Arrest the person or persons & Heavily fine & Revoke there Hunting licence for life !!!” Don’t you want hime to get a fair trial in between the arrest and the heavy fine and revocation? I am only advocating that we all get a fair hearing before the entire hunting public pounces on us and jumps up and down.

True. Due process is a necessity. However, apparently he is tainted by a previous charge of poaching a bear. Sounds like a habit.

Wild Bill

, I understand, and if he is guilty let him pay dearly. We can not, of course, use prior bad acts to prove that he did the current bad act.

He pleaded guilty to the charges, enough said.

Wild Bill

, I presume that the court accepted his plea. What was his sentence? He is a repeat offender.

Out door sportsman group did their part for the immediate dismissal of his job, but at some point the authorities need to step in and prosecute this guy as if he were one of us. He was a teacher so to speak of all things hunting, so they should come down on him a little harder. I want to hear about the hefty fines, and revocation of hunting license for a while, not to mention possibly a little time in stir. I guess his preaching about what’s bad and good about hunting did not pertain to him. Somewhere there is… Read more »

F*** you Bill,
You are a hypocrite! You talk about how bad poaching is then you turn around and do it? I really don’t think that anybody is happy with you. Shame on you and maybe I’ll poach you!!

Duncan Duhaveline

Absolutely the correct action. FIRE HIM and disassociate as quickly as possible. Shame is not punishment enough. Large fine to follow and permanent revoked hunting license will send a strong message to others that might consider such crimes.

Wild Bill

I did not see where he was convicted, maybe there is a misunderstanding or an error. We need not even give him the benefit of the doubt, but we could give him a little time to determine the outcome.

Steve Squiller

I am a avid hunter and eat what i harvest and harvest what i have a legal tag for. If im lucky to harvest a animal for the table. Poaching takes food of someones table, someone who pays for a license and puts there time in out hunting. Not cool Bill……

Bill, poaching is not a cool or little crime. I have a feeling that you will be feeling the repercussions for this offense for a long time.
