Kennesaw, Ga.--(  With 28 different state and regional editions, Game & Fish Magazine is the perfect vehicle for delivering localized gear information for hunters and anglers in every part of America.

The third annual Gear Issue, on newsstands now, is packed with information about the latest hunting and fishing gear, as well as highly targeted tips and strategies aimed at readers in every part of the country.

“This is a diverse country, with very different hunting and angling opportunities from coast to coast,” said Publisher Peter Gross. “We are in a unique position to use our 28 issues to focus on only the top species found in each one of those 28 regions.”

In total, the magazine covered more than 150 new gear items used for 17 different hunting and fishing species, from elk and Western trout to Eastern turkeys and catfish.

For example, while readers in the West will see a section on Western quail and the gear used to hunt them, readers in Northern states will find a grouse section. Southern hunters receive coverage of dove hunting and the top dove-hunting gear, while readers in the Midwest enjoy coverage of pheasant hunting.

Similarly, subscribers to California Game & Fish may not be interested in whitetail hunting, which is why they receive mule deer coverage instead. And while Southern readers are learning about bass strategies and tackle, those in Michigan will be shown the best gear and strategies for catching walleyes.

“We are well-positioned to give readers exactly what they want and expect — species and gear important to them in their state, and only the species and gear they care about the most,” said Gross.

The magazine’s 28 monthly issues cover the USA, coast to coast.

Also in the Gear Issue, Game & Fish revealed the winners of their latest Readers’ Choice Awards. More than 4,600 readers voted in 15 hunting-gear categories. Among the winners were Barnett’s Ghost 420 crossbow, Ruger’s American Rimfire and SureFire’s SOCOM 300 SPS suppressor.

Interesting cover picture. Dude looks like he’s spotted the game warden and is trying to do an end run around him. Are all hunters in Georgia that strong, because I sure as hell hope he’s dragging the whole deer behind him. If not, just another slob hunter who paints a bad picture for the rest of us.
