All three victims survived lethal attacks..because they had a gun.
You’re at home with your two teenage daughters. Your older daughter screams when she sees a stranger enter the home and stand next to your younger daughter. There is something about that scream. You grab your gun and run towards that area of the house. You see your oldest daughter chasing a stranger. You follow them out the front door and call your daughter back inside.
You are mowing the lawn for one of your customers. You maintain several houses in the area. Three men stop their car as they drive by. They walk up to you, and one of the strangers has a gun drawn. You’re being robbed. They demand your wallet, your phone, and your keys. You present your firearm and shoot at the gunman nearest you.
You’re sleeping at home with your wife and two children. You hear something that sounds like an animal clawing at the house. You wake up your wife. It doesn’t sound right, so she calls the police while you grab your gun and check on the kids. As you approach your back door, you see that the stranger has a gun in his hand.
