Ft Collins, CO –-(Ammoland.com)- Who says our leftist media is agenda-driven and hopelessly dishonest?
NY Times editorialists, in attempting to describe the violent street-gang problem that is currently consuming Wilmington, DE, Baltimore, MD, et al, laughingly refer to unlawfully armed gangs of violent urban thugs as:
“street crews,”
…as if criminal gang-bangers were out there diligently filling pot-holes!
With self-conferred titles like, “Shoot to Kill,” these “street crews” must stay busy!
It strikes me that referring to aggressive, sociopathic gangs as “street crews” represents a deliberate deception.
Instead of identifying and condemning violent criminals, NY Times editors (and leftist counterparts at Chicago Tribune, LA Times, Washington Post, et al) apparently find it requires much less effort, and personal honesty, to just wail incessantly about “gun violence,” , and the very existence of our Second Amendment.
They are a disgrace!
“‘Media’ is just a word that has come to mean ‘bad journalism’” ~ Graham Greene

I seem to remember reading or seeing on TV that some of these gang leaders refer to their henchmen as “my crew.”
You can’t expect anything different from the nyt, wash. post, la times and chicago tribune. They are all lairs and trying to keep their misinforming companies afloat. We would all be better off if they went bankrupt and died.
@Tcat, those “news” papers don’t want to insult the street trash. Today’s gang member is tomorrow’s Democrat Party member of Congress. Will the honorable gentlemen, please, leave his machete at the door?
I grew up in NYC, departed in 1967, would not live there again on a bet, absent wholesale changes in a number of things, unlikely to be seen during my lifetime, or what remains thereof.
WHEN I first read the mention of “street crews” relating to crime reduction I thought it referred to special “crews” of police, as in, the Boys in Blue, who would cruis the streets looking for trouble or signs of it.
Now I find the term “street crew” refers to the criminals themselves.
Yup… call something what it is not, and it ceases to carry the “heat” reality brings.
