I don’t know about you, but I’m getting sick and tired of our Congressional leaders here in Idaho remaining silent on the current gun control efforts in D.C.!
After 8 years under President Obama, we thought we might be able to take a breath from the constant attack on our gun rights and go on OFFENSE!
But that isn’t the case!
Now, Republicans who control the White House and Congress are looking at backing meaningless gun control to appease Michael Bloomberg and his allies in Congress.
It’s up to you and me to stop them — more on that in a second.
We warned gun owners that this entire gun control push had nothing to do with “bump stocks.”
Bloomberg, Pelosi, Feinstein, and the usual gun grabbers don’t just want “bump stocks.” They want much more than that and the proof is in the pudding.
H.R. 3999 is the “bi-partisan” gun control bill being touted by the media as the “ban on bump stocks.”
The problem?
The bill doesn’t actually say anything about bump stocks.
You see, they are using fancy wording and legal jargon to get more than that. But here is the opening paragraph of the bill so you can read for yourself exactly what it says:
“To amend title 18, United States Code, to prohibit the manufacture, possession, or transfer of any part or combination of parts that is designed and functions to increase the rate of fire of a semiautomatic rifle but does not convert the semiautomatic rifle into a machine gun, and for other purposes.”
Do you see the word “bump stock” in there?
No!
This is the gun grabbers “foot in the door” if you will, and they want to use H.R. 3999 as a springboard to massive anti-gun reforms.
Scopes, aftermarket triggers, bump stocks, and even semi-automatic weapons are going to be on the chopping block.
In addition, remember that if this bill makes it to the House Floor, Nancy Pelosi and others will try to amend the bill to get even more of what they want!
In fact, they are already pushing waiting periods and registration as part of their gun control package.
That’s why you can’t give these people an inch. If you do, they will take a mile.
A few gun owners are falling into this trap.
We have seen some gun owners and supposed “pro-gun” groups saying things like, “I don’t need a bump stock so why do I care about this?”
Folks, that is what the gun grabbers say about your gun rights all the time!
They don’t think you need an AR-15.
They don’t think you need a “high capacity” magazine.
They don’t think you need a semi-automatic weapon.
They don’t think you need the 2nd Amendment!
For decades the gun grabbers have claimed they support the 2nd Amendment but they just wanted “common sense gun reforms.”
The reality is that they want so much more than that.

The issue is that NONE of their proposed legislation would have stopped this madman in Las Vegas.
Even Diane Feinstein admitted as much when she told media outlets that no gun law would have stopped this man.
So why are Republicans caving to the gun grabbers?
Currently there are over 12 Republican Senators and House members who are on record as supporting the efforts of Feinstein and Pelosi.
More, Paul Ryan, Speaker of the House, made it clear that he is willing to look at passing the Feinstein bill!
Idaho’s Congressional delegation are still noticeably silent on the current gun control fight.
Perhaps they are more afraid of the media than they are of your votes!
That’s not how this is supposed to work.
We need to know where these guys stand on you gun rights.
It’s time for them to crawl out from under the rock they are hiding under and tell us if they intend to block gun control or if they are going to capitulate to Diane Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi.
That’s why we need your immediate help by contacting the 4 members of Idaho’s Congressional delegation today!
If you don’t let them know with your signature that you are opposed to any new gun control, they may not reverse their positions which currently support gun control.

Jerry Miculek can fire awful fast with just his trigger finger. Others can bump fire without a bump fire stock. I bet there are those who can match the rate of fire of a bump stock. This means the AR and AK platform manual rate of fire is about the same as the bump stock rate of fire. Just think if there were any restraints on the use of any one of the other rights listed as protected in the bill of rights We would be a step closer to communism. A way to understand some of that is not “what firearms ban will do and why ban firearms” , but “why everyone must participate to have a firearm and why to understand the laws and methods of their use in protection of property and person”. @Bill F, The gun control laws that are in place now should not be enforced because they are not Constitutional, and those gun control laws punish the law abiding. We should repeal those gun control laws, and get back to a criminal code that punishes convicted criminals. But you are correct about telling our representatives no to more gun/people control.
Keep your panties on. Trump would never sign such a stupid bill. However, those Legislators who do vote for HR 3999 are telling everyone who they really are and committing political suicide. Be smart…let HR 3999 run it’s course. That way we’ll know exactly who to vote against next election cycle; no more double talking “I support the Second Amendment” BS, we’ll have their voting record in hand.

We have enough gun laws on the books we don’t need anymore, if anything we need enforcement of the one’s that are in place now.
With H.R.3999 what is to stop them from saying magazines over ten rounds need to be banned.
