Resist the Gun Parts Ban Slippery Slope

Ohio – -(Ammoland.com)- Fellow pro-gun Ohioans, It is a sad and tired tactic that when ambitious politicians see a tragedy they dip their quills into the blood of innocent victims and start writing laws that won’t protect anybody but will absolutely infringe on our precious liberties.

None other than anti-gun California Senator Dianne Feinstein has already started doing just that in the wake of the Las Vegas tragedy by seeking to ban “bump stocks”:

So could a new ban on various gun accessories start gaining momentum in Washington D.C.? You bet it could. Meanwhile, pro-gun legislation like “interstate reciprocity” and the “hearing protection act” sit idle. Since the NRA has also called for additional regulations on these “bump stocks” even some nominally pro-gun legislators might feel like they have cover:

But don’t think that only the anti-gun forces in Washington D.C. are potential problems for us. Right here in Ohio Cecil Thomas, State Senator from Cincinnati, has proposed a similar ban:

And it isn’t just Senator Thomas we have to worry about in Ohio. None other than Governor Kasich has also indicated he wants to get in on the act of banning an unpopular gun accessory.

So where does OFCC stand? I’ll tell you where:

WE SAY NO KNEE-JERK BANS ON ANY GUN ACCESSORY JUST BECAUSE THE MEDIA HAS DEMONIZED IT.

We are standing strong. We want to advance the pro-gun agenda here in Ohio. We want what you want:

  • Concealed handgun licensee active notification repeal
  • Removing the duty to retreat
  • Elimination of no guns zones

That’s what OFCC is going to do. We are remaining on offense. We’re not going to bend to the media narrative that says somehow we need to agree to “reasonable” restrictions just because some anti-gun elitist says so. Because after “bump stocks” you know they’ll come after:

  • “High capacity magazines” (a misnomer in itself)
  • Collapsible stocks
  • Bayonet lugs
  • Accessory rails
  • “Saturday night specials” (anything affordable enough for the common citizen)
  • “High power rifles”
  • and so on…

We’re not going there. We’re not even going to swerve near the exit lane that leads to gun ban neighborhood. We’re staying in the express lane towards liberty land while driving the pro-gun agenda muscle car in high gear. That will anger the elitists in the anti-gun movement but we’re just fine with that. How about you?

Please contact your state representative and state senator and tell them you want the pro-gun agenda to ONLY go forward:

Tell your friends, especially those involved in legal practice as they can get Continuing Legal Education units for attending. These classes are being co-hosted by Munitions Law Group, OFCC, and The American Legion Department of Ohio.

Kasich is part of the swamp. He worked there for a long time before taking his rino ways to Ohio. At first, when he was running for Pres. I was a little interested in what he had to say but as time went on he showed himself as a swamp critter and not fit to be in any office. Ohio, get rid of your trash.

JS

I hope the people of Ohio can find a better man than Kasich.

Rock

Kasich is just a hemorrhoid on Obama’s ass… A pain but attached ! He is another McCain, a closet Lib/Dem. I have family in Ohio and they feel the same. Ironic how the libs and Dems are the FIRST ones to complain if ALL blacks, Muslims, Hispanics, gays, drug addicts or WHATEVER are blamed for the action of one or a few… Yet here THEY are doing exactly what they despise… The shooter placed cameras, hauled up 23+ long guns, thousands of rounds of ammo, screwed the stairwell door shut and god knows what else and NO ONE at the… Read more »

Kasich has back problems from ‘bending in the wind’ so many times………Every time this numb nut goes on TV I end up kicking out the flat screen; wonder if he owns stock in Vizo or other flat screen TV makers..??

Carol

Can’t stand Kasich in general. He needs to be put out to pasture along with his looney rino/commie./lib thinking.

Macofjack

CA is the perfect example of what the liberals will do. Start with the small stuff and keep working your way up to a total ban on guns.

Resist, Resist, Resist!!!!

Illinois? Washington? New York and all the northeast?

Hey? You guys keep voting the dumbass into office! Just remember the 2016 debates, he’s the, “adult in the room”.

Not a freaking one of them is addressing the REAL culprit: The @$$hat who committed the crime.
Resist is right!

The BATFE has been banning parts and putting people in jail for having those parts for years. They don’t need Congress or the President to ban something, they announce it, publish it in the Federal Register and 90 days later it is law. It’s called administrative law and ALL the Federal agencies do it and it is unconstitutional, but no one has ever complained.

James Higginbotham

your right Joe.
and it is ALL UNCONSTITUTIONAL when those same UNCONSTITUTIONAL AGENCIES WRITE THEIR OWN RULES AND LAWS.

Resistance is futile

Just a warning. Don’t let them get a foothold or you will regret it. In california the nra said to go ahead and vote for the handgun safety certificate and that it would be forever. A couple of years later they invalidated that license and created a new one that had to be renewed and paid for every five years. A couple of years later they created another license to replace that one so that you could buy long arms and handguns. Take note the later changes to licensing were never put to a vote. Where does it end!

David Telliho

“it would be forever” , reminds me of the “forever” treaties the Democrats made with our native Americans.

Resistance is futile

Just watch out if they want to relocate you for your own good or give you blankets

no tar or feathers in ohio ? your governor would look great in a coat of them.

Join a groundswell to oust the RINO governor Kasich from his exalted throne of burgeoning progressive / leftist power.
Unabashed welcoming of refugees into our Capitol and other urban areas and now the decision to follow the “ban it if leftists cry loud enough” lead will only further convince the “mob rule” leftists to attempt to set up shop permanently in our great state.
