Ohio SB 219 Would Ban “Much More” Than Bump Stocks

One rifle appears to have a bump fire stock. A bump fire stock uses recoil to help the shooter pull the trigger at a faster rate.

Ohio – -(Ammoland.com)-Fellow pro-gun Ohioans.

The anti-gun forces are trying exactly what we warned you they would do. Senate Bill 219 has been introduced to the Ohio Senate to ban any device that can “accelerate rate of fire” like the much-maligned bump-stocks. Obviously, OFCC stands firmly against this:

Ohioans for Concealed Carry is fighting back. See this 2-part video where one of our distinguished members, Mike Newbern, debates a gun control advocate in a special aired by Spectrum Cable this past Sunday:

Don't forget about the November 4 & 5 2017 class by accomplished author Andrew Branca. Tell your friends, especially those involved in legal practice as they can get Continuing Legal Education units for attending. These classes are being co-hosted by Munitions Law Group, OFCC, and The American Legion Department of Ohio.

If you think that we should be continuing the fight against these reactionary pieces of anti-gun legislation please help OFCC by donating to the cause here: https://ohioccw.org/index.php?option=com_civicrm&view=Contributions&Itemid=484

If you aren't yet an Ohioans for Concealed Carry member please join here: https://ohioccw.org/index.php?option=com_civicrm&view=Contributions&Itemid=456

    1. Several of the current Astros players have both local and national corporate endorsement deals.
506 slugging percentage and 18 home runs with 80 RBIs.
Ellsbury led the AL in stolen bases three times during his tenure with the Red Sox.

The Buckeyes lost a heartbreaker to Penn State, while Michigan lost on a last second field goal to Iowa.
The attacking options for the Lions have also been damaged by Robbie Henshaw’s departure from the team with a torn pectoral muscle.

    2. To ban any device that can accelerate the rate of fire. Hmmmm. How is that going to work?
I can “bump fire” without any device, just using a certain technique. And it is plenty of YouTube videos out there demonstrating just that.
So technically speaking the “Bump Stock” does not accelerate/increase the rate of fire.
Stupid is as stupid can be.

    3. the EU is behind every weapons ban by people world wide. look what is happening to the farmers in South Africa. they were not allowed to renew gun licenses, then had they guns taken. they are being slaughtered daily and their property taken. notice THE EU puppet, the UN does nothing the EU is responsible for the radical Islamic invasion of all western nations, with so called refugees and illegal immigrates. The EU is the agenda behind the universal background check and mandatory gun registration.. America needs to wake up and rid our government of politicians and law makers that support this Eu agenda. the EU wants all people made stupid with Marxist brainwashing, doped up, and disarmed. The NRA needs to more involved with supporting the Visegrad group, as they are the only nations opposing the EU.

    4. The United States Of America is the greatest country on planet Earth. But, sadly, it is also home to some of the most ignorant politicians on Earth.

Why is it not obvious to EVERYONE that criminals don’t give a damn about laws and have no qualms about breaking them? Laws mean nothing to anyone except law-abiding people, and those people MUST be legally allowed to protect themselves, their loved ones and, possibly, other innocents, from acts of violence attempted against them by anyone. We need no laws designed to punish the innocent for attempting to protect themselves or other innocents.

How do those so ignorant about how society operates, ever get elected into office in the first place? Is it because the people who vote for them are ignorant, too?

      1. @Ex Gob, As I read your comment, it occurs to me that one could substitute the words “politicians and criminals” at any point and your comment would be equally astute!

    5. The silly season of wringing ones hands and demanding something be done is continuing. The challenge is in a free society you can never stop another person intent on committing a crime until they do it. Oh no, more hand wringing. The act of hurting and killing other humans is already illegal and that didnt stop the person, so banning silly pieces of plastic will?
