Ammoland Shooting SportsU.S.A.-(Ammoland.com)- Born in a barn? No. A bar? Yes. When it comes to my beloved Marine Corps there is no finer, perhaps no more appropriate truth than the birthplace of America’s finest fighting force in Tun Tavern on 10 November 1775. In just a few more days, my blood brothers will pay homage to those who have donned the uniform before us… often with bellies full of beer, a slice of stale cake and maybe a fight or two, as brothers sometimes do.

My eight years in the Corps were some of my best and worst; however, my regrets are none and memories still brimming; some even continue to reek of stale beer and the always recognizable scent of sweat and whiskey pouring from the Devil Dog in front of me on a 05:30 PT run. Best job I ever had… by a long shot. To that end, this is a perfect time to shout out a Happy Birthday, Devil Dogs to my brothers- and sisters-in-arms, especially my infamous Brew Crew; y’all know who you are!

On the heels of my Marine Corps Birthday comes Veteran’s Day! Indeed, November is a great month for us, no matter which uniform you hopped into at zero-dark-thirty. And, while veterans continue to stand for the flag and understand, some all too well, the significant cost of a free republic, others like scores of rich NFL crybabies kneel in a message that suggests none of that matters. But, there’s good news.

Fortunately, amidst the recent chaos, there are still some great folks, companies, and organizations out there that still appreciate the commitment active military members and veterans alike continue to honor. I’m not suggesting, by any stretch, veterans are due thanks from anybody. Sure the thanks are nice but we don’t ask for them. Still, it’s always great to run into a company paying homage to veterans by actually including us in exclusive sales. Yes, this is different than just having a “Veterans Day Sale” for everyone.

The other day I ran into a shining example of such a company, Command Arms Accessories (CAA). CAA recently announced a phenomenal “Super Sale” exclusive to veterans. As a veteran, when I see an offer like CAA’s, it represents true appreciation, not the disappointing sales model we usually witness, outright exploitation of veterans to make a buck from anybody with a pulse. Maybe I’m odd but I find this especially despicable on Memorial Day.

No, CAA did not pay me to write this; in fact, I found it on my own because I love CAA’s product offerings. I like the heck out of the Micro Roni system, too! So, as a veteran who truly appreciates the offer and the gratitude CAA extends, I wanted to spotlight the opportunity and the character CAA demonstrates.

So, take a look. CAA is offering a free Micro Roni Stabilizer with the purchase of a Micro Roni Stabilizer Advanced Kit to veterans between now and November 12, 2017.

“Purchase a Mic-Roni Stabilizer Advanced Kit ($550) and receive a second Mic-Roni Stabilizer ($375) for free (any combination of color and model can be used – Black, Green, Tan & Model 17 or 19). Once you place your order at www.CAAgearup.com and receive your email confirmation, reply to [email protected] with details and preference for your complimentary second Micro Roni Stabilizer (Black, Green or Tan – for model 17 or 19), as well as photo-proof (a quick snap using your phone is just fine) of any official Veteran ID (DD214 card, VA card or similar). While quantities last. One order per household.”

@Marines, I have often heard that Jack Daniels is the official soft drink of the USMC,and that for a little zing they mix it with a shot of JP4, or something like that. I can not swear to it though.

We would like to thank all of our you Marines for your devoted and skillful service, even if you have not been at it as long as we have.
