Louisiana- -(Ammoland.com)- Here is some news you won't find in the mainstream media. Again this week, responsible gun owners defend themselves and the people they love.
Self-defense instructor Ben Branam joined the Self Defense Gun Stories Podcast to look at three new examples. Were these gun owners lucky, or were they trained and prepared? What can we learn from their experience? Listen and find out. (17 minute podcast)
All three victims survived lethal attacks because they had a gun.
You own and operate a small barbershop. You opened the shop a few hours ago. You’re the only one working when someone comes into the shop. It is a customer you’ve seen a few times. The customer stabs you. You push him away, but he tries to stab you again. You grab a gun from the back counter and shoot your attacker.
You own a self-service car wash. When you drive up this morning, you notice that there is already a car parked behind the wash stalls. The car door is open, and so is the door to your office. Someone has broken in. You get out of your car and walk toward the door. You see the robber trying to break into the room behind your office. You yell for him to stop.
You and your brother own a small general store. It is Sunday night when three young men enter the store dressed in dark clothes, hoodies, and one of them is carrying a gun. The start yelling and demand the money from the register. You’re armed, but the armed robber has a gun pointed at you. You brother moves toward the cash register and distracts the robber. That is the chance you need.
