New Jersey Gun Owners Get Ready to Fight the Democrats War on Gun Rights

The following is reprinted from Scott Bach’s Executive Director Message in the January-February issue of ANJRPC Member Magazine News & Briefs.

Democrat Gun Banner Phil Murphy
The New Democrat Governor Phil Murphy is all too willing to sign whatever comes his way.

New Jersey – -(Ammoland.com)- New jersey’s November’s election outcome couldn’t have been much worse. A national wave of pent-up liberal frustration swept over both New Jersey and Virginia. It was made worse in the Garden State by the vengeance of unions and other key voting blocs hurt by Governor Christie. The end result was loss of the governorship, larger anti-gun majorities in the legislature, and an election night nail-biter for some pro-gun incumbents from traditionally safe districts.

And now, the aftermath. Higher taxes, impending sanctuary statehood, a taxpayer-funded state bank, and yes – a full frontal assault on the Second Amendment, euphemistically styled as a “conversation” about “common sense gun safety laws.”

But there will be no conversation, no common sense, and it won’t be about gun safety – it will be about targeting the gun rights of honest citizens instead of punishing violent criminals.

We’re going to see an aggressive push to limit magazine capacity, ban large caliber firearms, activate the “smart gun” law, tax gun ownership, regulate ammunition, reverse Governor Christie’s carry improvements, mandate training, and all manner of schemes and contrivances to limit Second Amendment rights, and to harass and demonize law-abiding gun owners. What we won’t see is any meaningful effort to severely punish violent gun criminals, or end the catch-and-release justice system that puts them back out on the street.

New Jersey’s gun ban extremists are going to unleash eight years of pent-up frustration in a torrent of attacks that will rival what we saw in 2013.

Except this time, the new Governor is all too willing to sign whatever comes his way.

New Jersey gun owners survived Governors Florio, McGreevey, and Corzine. Somehow, we will survive Governor Murphy too, but it’s going to take everything we’ve got – everything. It’s going to take our time, our energy, our faith, and our resources. We’ll have to do battle publicly, privately, in the media, and in the courts. We’ll have to persevere when it seems hopeless, fight when it seems unwinnable, and march fearlessly into battle, over and over, with the odds stacked badly against us.

New Jersey gun owners have done it before, and now we have no choice but to do it again. You have a critical role in these upcoming battles, and that is to make your voice heard, long and loud, throughout the entire process, even when it seems futile (it’s not).

Those who won’t see the light must be made to feel the heat – they must be made to understand that we will not give up, we will resist them at every turn, they will have to work hard to gain every inch, and then they will have to work even harder to defend their gains.

A battle unlike any other is about to unfold. Get ready to Stand and Fight.

You know iit is bad news when some of our leader think they can rewrite our CONSTITUON TO SUTE THEM.

The only thing that is going to save NJ is for it to be split into two completely different states, Northern and Southern NJ, let the idiot liberals have the north where they are primarily concentrated and the conservatives can have the South where they are primarily located. This way the liberals aren’t solely controlling the entire state anymore as it is the people in the northern part of the state that are deciding for everyone. It would also help if the state stays whole that all the guns owners and conservatives turn out to the polls in order to… Read more »

This seems to be the general way of things on almost all liberal states. The main city/county or two controls the rest of the state. These people fail to realize that the problems and answers of an inner city have zero to do with the rest of the state. Here in WA our 39 county state is controlled by 2-3 counties. They swing our state blue at every federal election and they pass the most ridiculous laws via voter initiative (UBC, Emergency Protection Order, banning hound hunting, trapping, and bear baiting, etc). All of this happens because of the Seattle… Read more »

I hope our brothers and sisters are able to prevail in the RTKBA fight that awaits them in NJ
and elect people that bring NJ back to the future.

Well, if a great many people got a hold of a residential address in New Jersey, and registered to vote by mail, then the tide could be turned. Hmmm, I have relatives in several blue states, maybe I could vote in several states at the same time!
Romney wants to run for Senator from AZ. The only thing AZ about Romney is a post office box.

The feds need to seize control of New Jersey and California, arrest each state’s senate for treason, and hold new elections.

Tionico

Nice try.. but that is NOT any authority granted to FedGov. It rests with the citizens of each state to hold THEIR OWN elected government officials to account for their actioins. One thing that COULD be effective…. when NJ’s rowdy new guvner signs into law some unconstitutional form of gun control, some New Jersey residents need to rise up, lawyer up, and file formal charges against him for failing to uphold his oath of office, in which oath he swears to uphold and defend the Constitutions of both the United States and the State of New Jersey. That is a… Read more »

@Tio, “…and file formal charges against him…” File formal charges with whom, and what is the paperwork for that?

Scott Bach, deserves your support.
He is opposing a Marxist.

If every firearm owner in NJ voted pro 2A this would stop right now. Convince one friend, one partner to vote for 2A rights and your insanity ends.
California firearms owners gave up, bickered among themselves and gave away their rights.. Dont follow stupidfornia’s example

The Democrats don’t care about New Jersey or any other state in the U.S. Their only objective is to destroy everything that would make the state great. The only accomplishment you will notice from a Democrat is HIGHER TAXES, ATTACK ON THE 2ND AMENDMENT, LOST OF JOBS, RISE IN CRIME, and CRIME ACTIVITY IN THE GOVERNMENT.

ImOffendedTreatMeSpecial

If the people of the Peoples Republic of New Jersey gave a rats azz about gun rights they would not vote in these losers and they would not flee to FL and vote the same types of losers into the communities they infested.

Happy in Florida

The coastal states are a total loss. Let them turn to socialism and worse. I used to live in New York but I took the governors suggestion and moved to Florida. If possible just pick up and move to Florida or Texas Both states NEED gun owners to offset the inflex of costal libs.

It is up to us to help Educate the misguided Sheeples. People get Brainwashed and have a hard time seeing the Truth.

Big Lou

Why/who/how do these fools keep getting voted in? Someone please tell me.

Because of the population sinks known as cities. They draw like minded people like flies to crap and eventually achieve a gravitational pull all their own. Once they reach a certain population threshold the brains all snap at once and it turns into a free stuff grab bag because the population sink needs to “save’ the people that the sink itself created. When their mentality snaps they suddenly believe that everyone in the state must be saved and needs to bow to their authority or they will fall into some kind of void and be lost forever. This creates the… Read more »

There may be other ways to say it, but I think you have a good grasp. Cities, close interactions in small spaces, endless limitations and regulations on personal activity, and reliance on others to do things from collecting the trash to ensuring personal protection and even income, build dependence on government and public solutions to virtually everything. In contrast, areas of lower population concentrations, where not everything is taken care of by intricately designed public systems, and where individual “common sense” continues to be one of the keys to survival, invite people to exercise liberty and require them to think… Read more »

@Big Lou….Electronic voting and other forms of election fraud, is why these gun grabbers always get elected. It has been shown that it takes less than 5 minutes to rig an election machine. And remember what Cynthia McKinney told us all, on YouTube video, about the “Pledge” all the congress critters have to sign or else AIPAC finances an opposing congress critter who does sign the pledge. Notice that it is AIPAC types who control the gun grabbing lobby. They are like a fifth column of foreign agents who are intent on destroying our Constitution and Bill of Rights so… Read more »
