Gun Stories with Joe Mantegna has been consistent one of the top shows on Outdoor Channel since it’s inception. Shooting Gallery, now in its 18th season, is the longest running and most successful firearms show ever.

Last year The Best Defense won an Outdoor Sportsman Award from OSG for the best general interest show of the year with it’s TBD: Mass Casualty Event. In addition, TBD scored several “saves” last year — people who credit their survival with lessons learned on The Best Defense.

“I’ve been lucky to work with such great partners as Tim Cremin and Jeff Murray at Winnercomm and John Carter at Hatch Entertainment,” Bane said. “Together, we’ve been able to push the boundaries and create world-class programming.”

Flying Dragon Ltd has won seven “Telly” Awards for excellence in broadcasting and eight “Golden Moose” Awards presented by OSG for quality programming. In addition, Michael Bane holds a Lifetime Achievement Award from OSG and is the only television journalist to receive the prestigious Communicator of the Year Award from NSSF/The Professional Outdoor Media Association.
