MOGADORE, Ohio -(Ammoland.com)- Tenpoint Crossbow Technologies recently launched their EVO-X Premium Accessory Series at the ATA Trade Show in Indianapolis, IN.

This collection of high-tech crossbow accessories designed to elevate the hunting experience is headlined by the CenterPunch premium carbon crossbow arrow. Weighing 445-grains and featuring 17 percent FOC, the CenterPunch arrow improves crossbow accuracy by 25 percent.

Rick Bednar, CEO, could not be more excited about the launch of this new accessory series and its arrow offerings.

“The crossbow market place has been demanding a premium arrow for quite some time.” he said. “We’ve gone through various third-party testing – pitting the EVO-X CenterPunch arrow versus competitors’ arrows – and there’s nothing like it on the market today. It is the most accurate hunting crossbow arrow ever designed.”

Constructed from modulus carbon fiber at 33 MSI (million-pounds-per-square-inch) wrapped in an exclusive LAZER-TECH carbon weave and fletched with a 3.5” Bohning X Vane, the 445-grain CenterPunch arrow is equipped with an 84-grain lead-free brass insert – giving it a 17 percent F.O.C. for improved flight, stability, and accuracy.

Independent, third-party testing has shown that the CenterPunch arrow improves a crossbow hunter’s accuracy by 25 percent.

Its exclusive LAZER-TECH carbon wrap reduces spine variation by 80 percent, as the unidirectional fibers underneath are never touched. In addition, this technology also increases hoop strength by 40 percent – resulting in less breakage and increased accuracy due to reduced ovalizing at launch.

Each arrow is inspected for straightness to within .001” and each package is weight-grain matched within 1-grain per arrow. The arrow is equipped with the patented Omni-Nock Universal System for easy nock changing and lighting capability. The arrows are packaged with Omni-Nocks and moon nocks, making it compatible with most crossbows on the market.

The Omni-Nock features six micro-grooves that form three bowstring channels which eliminate the indexing problem associated with moon and capture nocks. Because the channel “holds” the bowstring in place, the Omni-Nock also prevents flat-nock “shoot-over” or “shoot under”, a growing problem with today’s narrow crossbows with acute string angles.

The CenterPunch arrow is available in 6-packs without lighted nocks or 3-packs with lighted nocks.

CenterPunch MSRP: 6-pack $89.99, 3-pack Omni-Brite Universal Lighted Nock System $99.99

TenPoint Crossbow TechnologiesAbout TenPoint Crossbow Technologies:

In January of 2014, TenPoint Crossbow Technologies entered its 20th year in business, but its evolution began with the upbringing of its Chairman, CEO, and President, Richard L. (Rick) Bednar.

Rick’s association with archery and the archery industry goes back to his youth when his parents, Archery Hall of Famer, Bill Bednar, and his wife, Edith, founded Portage Archery Center in Suffield, OH.  Rick and his sisters, Cindy and Joanna, who work for TenPoint as well, grew up in an apartment adjoining the pro shop building.  That shop still operates today as Hunter’s Outlet Archery Center, a Division of TenPoint Crossbow Technologies.

As he grew up immersed in the family’s business, his father, Bill, also coached him as an elite tournament archer.  Competing at the highest collegiate, national, and international levels, he traveled the world as a member of the USA Pan Am, World Target and World Field Archery teams; qualified for the 1976 Olympic Team; and won the NCAA Championship three-times at The University of Akron.  Both his retail and competition background nurtured a strong interest in and appreciation for bow design, performance, and engineering.

    1. @Joe Evans,

Being a long-time compound and then primitive bow shooter, that is pronghorn long bows made by herb meland, allow me to confirm sub guys statement: bows shoot arrows, crossbows shoot bolts, and I’ve always shot bolts!

This is not a small matter, it is rather like calling a magazine a clip, they are not the same thing, they are not designed the same, they are not operated in the same manner, and that is something then an editor should know.

Yes, remonstration and chastisement now finished.

      Thank you for your time
