Santa Ana, CA  – -(Ammoland.com)-The National Rifle League (NRL), a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the growth and education of precision rifle shooting through a range of outdoors-related public interest activities, is pleased to announce that Howa has agreed to sponsor the NRL’s 2018 season as the Official Factory Rifle Sponsor.

Howa Machinery has been exporting sporting rifles for more than four decades since its first unit shipped in 1967. The Howa Model 1500 sporting rifle has continually led the pack in terms of quality and design evolution. Now in 2018 with a vast history of excellence Howa is taking steps into the Long Range Precision market with a full line of competition ready rifles and strong industry relationships.

“For years I have always thought of Howa as a great hunting rifle, and never considered it to be a competition style platform, however after meeting with Mr. Hornback late last year I was very surprised at just how capable these rifles are for our style of shooting. The new Howa competition ready rifles offer a sub moa guarantee out of the box and the partnerships that they have developed make it easy for them to offer something for everyone. I am truly excited to have Howa supporting the NRL and to see them perform this year,” stated Travis Ishida founder of the National Rifle League.

“We are very excited to be a part of the National Rifle League for 2018. We had the opportunity to be a part of a few matches in 2017 and the response was amazing. We view the NRL as an opportunity to connect with precision rifle shooters all around the country and share our passion for bolt-action rifles and the competition camaraderie. There is no better professional shooting organization than the National Rifle League and Howa Precision Rifles is proud to be a part of it.” Stated Mathew Hornback

The NRL will host 15 national level precision rifle matches, and the NRL Championships will be on October 19th – 21st in Idaho, where Howa will be supporting with product for competitors to select off the prize tables. I wish they would make left handed rifles. But I have a right handed mini-action and it’s a very nice rifle.

I have multiple Howa rifles and they are all very accurate. But, you may want to update you info. Howa has been shipping rifles for over 50 years now. (1967 – 2018). Glad to see that they are becoming more well known.
