Once again Leon County Commissioner Mary Ann Lindley is pushing a county gun control ordinance for Leon County.

Florida – -(Ammoland.com)- She’s baaaaaaack! Once again Leon County Commissioner Mary Ann Lindley is pushing a county gun control ordinance for Leon County.

She is pushing it even though Sheriff Walt McNeil expressed concerns over how the Sheriff’s Office would enforce the ordinance, saying legal and manpower issues would preclude the Sheriff’s Office from staffing gun shows. In other words, he would have to use your tax dollars to put law enforcement officers at gun shows.

Mary Ann Lindley is so rabidly anti-gun she is determined to impose these restrictions on law-abiding gun owners and force the financial burden on the Sheriff’s Office and the tax payers of Leon County.

Lindley doesn’t even pretend that she cares about crime, criminals or have any legitimate reason for passing it, she just wants to pass some gun control before she leaves office.

She is quoted in the Tallahassee Democrat saying, “I realize this is symbolic in large part, but it’s also practical. And it is something that in our community we can do and I feel we need to do.”

This is the same failed ordinance Mary Ann Lindley pushed in 2013 that was drafted for her by Roy Blondeau, who represents NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s various gun control groups Everytown for Gun Control and “Moms Demand Action.”

The Commission will hold a public hearing on April 10th 2018 and then vote on an ordinance to restrict the rights of law-abiding gun owners punishes innocent gun owners.

This is being driven gun ban organizations and it’s up to you to help stop it. Please email all Leon County Commissioners immediately

We do have state pre emotion here in Florida
If a locality passes laws tougher than the State law, the local officials shall be removed by the Governor and shall be personally liable for a fine
I am uncertain what this proposed ordinance is supposed to do
The article did not say what exactly it concerns
Does it call for local law enforcement to police gun shows?

How do these clowns keep getting elected? And a carpet bagger to boot…

The pro gunners thinking the other pro gunners will get out and vote enough tokepp them from being elected..
GET OUT AND VOTE ! You sit at home, don’t vote and allow ANTI GUN ASSHOLES like this to get voted in !

Does Florida NOT have a state preemption law? If so, this nonsense is DOA.

another liberal, progressive crazy communist.she looks insane in this picture.

I lived and worked in Tallahasse for 25 years. Mary Ann Lindley is not a native Tallahassean, she is from another state. She made a name for herself as a columnist for the Tallahassee Democrat, the local newspaper. Lately she has run for local office, often running a smear campaign. She does not represent or care about local issues. She’s just another self serving politician who doesn’t care about the local populace’s wishes.

duh duh

I guess there will NOT be anyone for armed Security MARY ANN.
