NRA Statement on YouTube Censorship Announcement

Fairfax, VA – -(Ammoland.com)-  Chris W. Cox, executive director of the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA), released the following statement on Friday:

“YouTube is now in the business of political posturing and censorship. Millions of Americans watch YouTube videos every day to learn more about the safe and responsible use of firearms, and those videos show law-abiding gun owners participating in lawful behavior.

By banning this content, YouTube is engaging in politically motivated censorship and alienating the millions of people who turn to the website for education and training.

Currently, anyone can go to YouTube and watch a video to learn how to make a bomb, yet the company wants to ban videos depicting lawful gun use?

It's absurd.

This new policy runs counter to the American traditions of open dialogue and tolerance for diverse opinions and firmly plants YouTube, and its parent company Google, against the freedoms so many Americans hold dear.”

You Bube doesn’t bother me in the least. I haven’t been on it in over a year and have no interest in it because I know it is a liberal site.

NewTube name is interesting. But, let’s rub it in the Libs’ face…..GunTube or 2ATube. 🙂 🙂 I hear gun oriented YouTubers are migrating to alternate web sites GetZone.com and GunGenius.com. Haven’t visited yet. I understand GunGenius is hosted by GunBroker. Learn from history or be doomed to repeat it. Point your contacts toward YouTube videos by Kitty Werthmann …..showing her Nazis tattooed forearm…..relating how Germans/Jews were disarmed voluntarily to reduce crime and “for their safety”. How did that work out for them?!?!? She strongly admonishes Americans not to give up their guns. “Those who fear more for their safety than… Read more »

YouTub e have shown their true colours. WHy force them to accept OUR viewpoint? It may take a while, but alternate resourecs WILL arise. Let they who supply what the market desires reap the reward. You Tube is now part of Google, as I understand it. We all KNOW what Google are on about.. .. capturing our data and reselling it, managing public opinion, forcing their “values”, sick as they are, upon the rest of us. Whole Foods launched to fill a niche in the marketplace, and they did.. far more variety in a tiny marketplace flooded with arcane, strange… Read more »

Suggestion: Given that the public use of the internet is a pervasive form of communication i.e. Twitter, Facebook and others media entities. Also, given that they are determining what the American people can see/post; In addition, they are now taking steps limit free expression regarding any “gun” activity thru these forms of media The NRA should develop a media platform for the You-tubers, excreta and others of like interest regarding guns. I have noticed that some x-you tubers are now working with Porn Hub to get their information out. I think it would be more appropriate for the NRA to… Read more »

Maybe it is time for the NRA to start its own Youtube for gun owners. Then we will have a place to post gun videos uncensored by then left.

In Nazi Germany, books banned were thrown into bonfires. The new Nazi’s, (the left), have it easier and faster, just click “delete” and censored information is gone.
Nazi’s had gas chambers, the new Nazi’s have planned parenthood. The Nazi’s had ” kristallnacht” in 1938. (Night of broken glass). The new Nazi’s do the same thing during marches and demonstrations.
History is repeating itself!
