Ed and family are dirtbags. I have a Brown Special Forces in my safe that they will not honor the warranty on. The pistol was sent to them for evaluation after it locked-up during a shooting session. They informed me that problems I have are from shooting incorrect ammunition and the pistols breechface and firing pin hole had been elongated, causing the problem! Wrong ammunition? Factory 45 ACP loads? They also mentioned it could be fixed for 1400.00. LMAO. Screw Ed and his coyote company. Too many other HONEST mfg of 1911 platforms – with honest warranties. Buyer be ware.

Just checked this pistol out at the Ed Brown website. Looks like a nice pistol . . . but not $3,395 nice. As well made as the pistols are, IMHO they’re overpriced by at least $1000.

I love Commanders, but that was an annoying advertisement.
