Dallas, TX – -(Ammoland.com)- Even as the nation was grieving the terrible loss of life in Parkland, Fla., gun control activists were doing what they do best: exploiting tragedy to advance their political agenda. Gun control activists are pushing a message that you are to blame for the criminal violence that took place last month. They’re attempting to capitalize on this tragedy to convince members of Congress and your state lawmakers to vote for their gun control wish list.

Proposals to ban the most popular rifles in America, arbitrarily limit magazine capacity, require a waiting period on all firearm sales, and restrict the right of law-abiding young adults to acquire rifles and shotguns have been suggested as “solutions” by those who wish to curtail the rights of law-abiding gun owners. Legislation encompassing these proposals could be voted on in the U.S. Congress or even your state legislature in the coming weeks.

That’s why it’s imperative that you contact your lawmakers today and ask them to oppose all gun control schemes that would only impact law-abiding gun owners. Click the link above and you can be done in 10 seconds.

NRA Annual Meeting

The NRA Annual Meeting was a great success. Not only were attendance records set, but a historic milestone reached as the Vice President and President of the United States were both in attendance addressing the crowd.

If that’s not enough, the highly publicized anti-NRA demonstrations ceased to materialize, and the very few that showed up were a good distance away, so we never even got to see them.

It was great to see so many people that love this Country, believe in the Constitution, and aren’t afraid to express their religious beliefs. It is the foundation on which this country was founded, and we seem to have lost our way; at least if you listen to the loud-mouth complainers that are against everything we as a country stand for.

Similarly it was great to see so many great speakers from Congress, governors, and heroes who serve in LE as well as civilians like Stephen Willeford. I know the speeches ran long but the crowd was enthusiastic even after standing in one of the longest lines I’ve ever been in to get in.

With so many companies in attendance, there was a lot to see on the exhibit floor as well, and it took a couple of days to cover it all. Below we have some videos from various companies and hopefully some product reviews in the coming months.

VIDEOS

Our focus is on videos from the NRA Annual Meeting, and we’ll have more videos coming throughout this coming week. Users can stay up to date by subscribing to our YouTube Channel.

Gunstruction

Gunstruction Banner

Our latest update includes new partners Rebel Arms and STNGR, along with new parts from long time partners MAGPUL, Aero Precision, Geissele, and more. We’ve added over 100 new parts since late February, so be sure to check them out. In addition, recent updates have included changes that significantly improve GUNSTRUCTION’s responsiveness, particularly in categories with large part counts.

In other news, we’re coming very close to the release of a point of sale version of GUNSTRUCTION that will allow you to buy the firearm you have configured. Imagine going to your favorite online retailer, specifying exactly the firearm you want, and adding the components to your shopping cart with the press of a button! This is something we imagined for GUNSTRUCTION from day one and have been hard at work on for a few months now. Look for more details in a launch announcement soon!

Gunstruction Spikes

Also coming soon, Spike’s Tactical! This well-known and liked brand has been frequently requested by users from the beginning, so we’re thrilled to have them on board as the new title sponsor for the AR308 platform. Look for updates that add their entire parts catalog over the coming months, starting with a big release in May. We’ll talk more about that in the next newsletter.

Finally, from time to time we still receive messages from users returning to the app after an extended hiatus, writing to express confusion or frustration that the app’s paid features no longer work. If you find yourself in that group, don’t worry. Check out the last three topics on our FAQ, which explain the reason for the change and how to get your purchases restored. Welcome back!

As usual, the latest version is free and live now, so check it out on AR15.com, or get the latest version for iOS or Android! Watch for future updates here, or on Facebook, and check out our snazzy website.

That’s all for this month. If you haven’t planned a future build with us, swing by and give it a try!

We thank you for your continued support, and don’t forget that we can only make this possible through you-the firearms community, and the support of our partnered companies!

Please feel free to give us feedback in our forum or visit us at our Facebook page.

If you make an AR15/AR308, Remington 700, 10/22-style, or AK patterned rifle and would like to get your rifles or parts into GUNSTRUCTION, please feel free to contact us at: [email protected].

About AFRCOM:

AR15.Com originated in 1996 as a mailing list for firearm enthusiasts. As the years passed and interest grew, a website came into existence to present those same enthusiasts with a means to collect, share, and explore information. Shortly afterwards, a bulletin board was added to create a more interactive experience for the growing list of users. The site was still in it’s infancy, but was growing in popularity. I’ve said it before and will continue to say it: on Feb 14, some 100 MILLION (more or less) law abiding gun owning Citizens who own (at least) 350 MILLION firearms did absolutely NOTHING wrong. Yet the hoplophobes still try to blame us and the NRA for the preventable actions of a lone nut case.
