DENVER – (Ammoland.Com) –Sportsman Channel’s Hunt.Fish.Feed. program continues helping those in need in 2018 with the announcement of their annual ‘tour’ locations. During the past 11 years, the network has served nearly 35,000 meals and donated 12,000 pounds of game meat and fish to shelters in cities large and small across the United States. The 2018 tour continues raising awareness to the still-existing struggle with hunger in the United Sates, as well as shines a light on sportsmen and women’s contributions of game meat and fish to help contribute to solve the problem.

The first stop in 2018 will be on May 7 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Hunt.Fish.Feed., created by Sportsman Channel, is a unique outreach program that taps an underutilized food source – game meat and fish donated by sportsmen and women – to feed men, women and children struggling with hunger across America. An average deer will dress down to roughly 70 pounds of meat, which can feed nearly 150 people in need.

“Hunt.Fish.Feed. is a program that creates awareness and works to help solve the problem of hunger in the United States, said Outdoor Sportsman Group President and CEO, Jim Liberatore said.

“To be able to share a God-given bounty with less fortunate members of society is the greatest part of the program for us and partners like Comcast, Charter, DIRECTV and others who understand and share our vision as an outdoor lifestyle community.”

Leysath has been working with Sportsman Channel and the Hunt.Fish.Feed program since its inception in 2007.

“I feel extremely fortunate to work with Sportsman Channel, a network that is part of a company that champions programs like HUNT.FISH.FEED, to help feed the less fortunate across our country”  added Leysath.  “We, as representatives of the outdoor lifestyle community, are humbled when we see those in need enjoying a nutritious, organic, sustainable meal of venison or fish that came as a result of the generosity of those who have been blessed.”
