U.S.A.-(Ammoland.com)- The agenda is now posted for the 17th annual Firearms Import/Export Conference being held in Washington, D.C., August 2 and 3, 2018, with optional add-on sessions on August 1. This event, hosted by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) and the F.A.I.R. Trade Group, features key officials from the agencies that regulate our industry. Register today to hear first-hand how the new proposed rules transitioning firearms and ammunition from the ITAR controlled US Munitions List to the EAR controlled Commerce Control List will impact your business.

2018 Import Export Agenda

With speakers from the Commerce Department, ATF, the State Department, and others within the enforcement and compliance areas, we will decode the changes and provide attendees with actionable information for the road ahead. In addition to the traditional presentations, we will once again be offering a series of small roundtable discussions that will allow attendees to speak with officials in a small group setting.

One new agenda addition that you don’t want to miss is a third optional add-on session: BIS Licensing Process and SNAP-R System. Now that the proposed rules moving firearms and ammunition from the USML to the CCL have been published, exporters need to learn how to obtain export licenses from BIS, and how to use their electronic licensing system SNAP-R. This 2-hour session will include one hour on the ins and outs of the SNAP-R system – how to register (at no cost), how to complete the license application, how to submit licenses, etc. The second hour will focus on the licensing process and what happens to your application once it is submitted. This session will be presented by Steven Clagett, Director, Missile & Nuclear Technology Licensing Division, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and personnel from the Licensing Directorate, Defense Technology Security Administration (DTSA). Don’t miss this important session!

Please keep in mind this event has limited seating and has sold out in recent years. With the ECR proposal moving forward, seats are filling fast. Don’t miss your chance to attend. Register today.
NSSF and F.A.I.R. member companies receive special pricing for their attendees and if you bring more than one person from your company the other attendees receive a discounted price.

This joint presentation will take place at the Grand Hyatt Washington, 1000 H Street NW, Washington, D.C.
