Newington, N.H.-( SIG SAUER, Inc. recently received top honors in two categories at the 2018 Industry Choice Awards (ICA) hosted by the Rockcastle Shooting Center in Park City, KY. The Industry Choice Awards are awarded to manufacturers based upon a comprehensive independent evaluation by industry experts for fit, form, finish, and functionality.

SIG SAUER was the recipient of the following 2018 Industry Choice Awards:

2018 Industry Choice Award – Handgun of the Year, SIG SAUER P365:

Recognized by industry experts for its impressively small size as a 9mm concealed carry pistol, capable of eleven or thirteen rounds, and for its comfort and feel in the hand, minimal recoil, and overall accuracy. Throughout testing independent panel experts noted that the P365 was the, “best pistol I have shot in this class of gun,” and was, “a compact confidence booster,” and were, “amazed by the light perceived recoil, and is the best small nine I’ve ever shot.”

2018 Industry Choice Award – Rifle Caliber Pistol of the Year, SIG SAUER MCX Rattler 300 Blackout:

For the first time an ICA was awarded for the Rifle Caliber Pistol of the Year and the SIG SAUER MCX Rattler 300 Blackout earned the honor. The Rattler was recognized for its compact construction, manufacturing quality, and its’ proprietary bolt and spring system. Panel experts commented that, “overall, in the market, I believe this product stands out. It is well made, performs well, and it definitely grabbed my attention,” and “the product was consistent, performed well and was accurate.”

Tom Taylor, Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Commercial Sales, SIG SAUER, Inc. began, “we are especially honored to have earned Industry Choice Awards in these two categories because we brought ground-breaking products to the marketplace for each of them. For the P365, we introduced full size capacity to an everyday carry pistol, and with the Rattler we put rifle caliber performance into a subgun size.”

The 2018 Industry Choice Awards were presented in nine categories, and SIG SAUER was the only manufacturer to earn two of the top honors.

“For everyone here at SIG SAUER these awards are affirmation that our uncompromising drive towards research and development, combined with innovative engineering and superior quality, is not only appreciated by consumers, but being recognized by our industry peers as well – we are truly thankful for this honor,” concluded Taylor.

The Sig 365 is available on GunBroker and Guns America and the Rattler has been available for some time. I have them both and I love them both and I’m not on the Sig payroll! They are turning out to be two of the most popular pistols in several years because they are innovative as well as fun to shoot. Just my opinion.

Pistol of the year award how much did Sig have to pay to get that. Dam P365 breaks around 300 or 400 rounds it’s a piece of garbage worst Sig Sauer ever made turned me off of ever buying another Sig.

Exactly what I was thinking. I was very interested in the 365 for carry but hearing about the trigger & striker/firing pin failures have me reconsidering. Maybe I’ll wait for the second generation when they’ve fixed those problems. Just par for the course with Sig it seems lately.

855 rounds and counting without a single failure.

How on earth can they get an award for pistol of the year with the P365 it isn’t even available anywhere except to the writers and their families.

Cant stop laughing, what a joke.
