Thurlow, England – -(Ammoland.com)-The Countryside Alliance is holding a number of Country Clay Days to support and raise funds for our Campaign for Shooting.

The Great Thurlow Clay Day is taking place on the magnificent Great Thurlow Estate, by kind permission of the Vestey family. I hope you can bring a team of four and encourage all your shooting friends to bring a team to support the Campaign for Shooting.

This special sporting and social event, which is for a maximum of 30 teams of 4 guns, will consist of 5 simulated game drives. 12 and 20 Bore Cartridges will be provided for all competitors. Coffee and bacon sandwiches will be served from 8.30am, where teams will also need to register.

A briefing for all teams will take place at 9.15am, after which teams will depart for their respective stands. On completion of shooting, there will be a champagne reception followed by a lunch with wine during which there will be the presentation of prizes.

The cost per team of four guns is £1,000, to include cartridges, lunch, and wine. There are also a small number of additional tickets available for non-shooting friends wishing to attend. These are at a cost of £70 a head, to include refreshments on arrival, the champagne reception, and lunch.

Your support and that of your shooting friends and colleagues is more important than ever. The Countryside Alliance’s Campaign for Shooting is driving an agenda that will be hugely significant for the shooting community in the coming year. We are leading a campaign to ensure fair and consistent firearms licensing across the country. We are working to counter radical rural and environmental policies and an extreme animal rights agenda. Perhaps most importantly, we are leading the reform of the shooting community to achieve higher standards, self-regulation and the creation of a sustainable market for game meat.

I am sure it is going to be a great social as well as a good shooting event, so I hope you and your friends can gather a team or two and come and join us at magnificent Great Thurlow. To RSVP simply complete the entry form on our website.

Countryside AllianceAbout Countryside Alliance

Countryside Alliance Ireland has been active since the early 1960s, providing Irish sportsmen and women with high levels of information and advice and representation. Over the years as the political environment has changed we have evolved into a highly effective campaigning organisation. Countryside Alliance Ireland is governed by an elected “Board” made up from members throughout Ireland. The Board sets policy and oversees financial and operational matters. Countryside Alliance Ireland partner groups nominate members of the “Board” also, making it truly representative of country sports interests in Ireland. Visit: www.countrysideallianceireland.org
