Los Angeles-(

All good things must come to an end, and for AmmoLand’s editor Duncan Johnson and the Firearms Rack’s Patrick Roberts, that end came in LA.

Brownells Convoy ‘Cross America was an incredible experience. The 2016 Toyota Tacoma made it from Austin, TX to California without a hitch. The first stop was at The Range At Austin where the crew got to shoot all types of firearms including machine guns.

The next stop was in Colorado Springs. There the convoy visited Red Leg Brewing. All had a good time on the brewery tour and visiting with the public. There was Great beer, great cigars, and great fellowship. Let’s not forget about the visit to meet Dragon Man to see his incredible gun collection.

The convoy then traveled to Logan Utah where they visited Novak Jeep Conversions. Our crew did burnouts, a little offroading, and got check out some cool jeeps. The public turned out in their own vehicles to join the party.

It was then a drive through the night to Las Vegas. In “Sin City” the convoy got to drive supercars at SPEEDVEGAS. Duncan got a chance to attack the course in an Audi R8. Others opted for the Shelby Mustang GT. SPEEDVEGAS was an adrenaline dump.

At the final stop, the convoy got to check out Hollywood scene. The first thing Duncan had to do is get a burger from In & Out Burger. The world-famous hamburger chain isn’t on the east coast where Duncan calls home. Everyone that goes to California needs a great burger.

After a phenomenal burger, the convoy visited Independent Studio Services. ISS is a leading prop house for the movie industry. They currently house over one million props for use by film studios. The chances are that you have seen some of their props in your favorite movies.

One of the cool things ISS has to offer is their massive selection of prop firearms. You name it, and they have it. If they don’t have what you are looking for, then they can make it for you. They even have a minigun and a fake store! It is quite the collection that they have been gathering for the past 44 years.

Hank Strange once again joined Duncan and Patrick. John “TIG” Tiegen was also there. With those two guys in addition to Duncan and Patrick, we can be sure the guns at ISS got a thorough inspection by the convoy.

The “We Like Shooting” podcast crew also checked out the prop house. Jason and Ben from Skillset Magazine also joined the Convoy to The “City of Angles.” Josh and Ryan from the Brownells Bureau of Propaganda also met with the public. With those two guys on site, everyone got plenty of swag.

Mike and the gang from Agency Arms made the stop. If you want to take your Glock and make it elite then, this is the company for you. From slides to frames, to complete builds Agency Arms will “make your Glock great again.”

TV star Larry Zanoff of “Hollywood Weapons: Fact or Fiction?” also popped in to hang out with the convoy. The Outdoor Channel show follows Larry around as he takes famous weapon scenes from movies and recreates them to see how accurate the scene would be in real life. The show is also available for streaming on NetFlix.

Instagram sensation RapidFire Rachel made the prop house tour. Rachel Bee is a former Hooters calendar girl, zombie slayer, dinosaur hunter, and firearm enthusiast. She met with her fans and got to check the massive collection of firearms at ISS.

It was a great final stop for the convoy. AmmoLand would like to thank Brownells for the awesome opportunity to cover the events. AmmoLand would also like to thank everyone who joined the convoy and the people that came out to meet the crew.
