My thoughts on a 20 gauge is that there is less recoil, can be used by an older male or female, I am 74. We are talking “home protection”, so alternating double OO buck & # 4 shot will give shots within a home plenty of power, and easier to repump.
Have a Mossberg 12 gauge persuader, and plan to get their 14 ” in 20 gauge and add a red laser.

The advantage to the 1/2 size shells is more control over a hand held gun with still effective power in the context of a home. Writers have said that full power shells are difficult to fire after the first shot because of the recoil.

They make it in a women’s or kids 20 ga if a 12ga is to much !
Would like to see it in a 10 ga!

They will handle the 2 1/2, but may not handle those shorter, but my question is why would you buy a tactical gun chambered for 3″ shells & want to make a 410 0r 20 ga. with less shot out of it ? This is a great steel receiver defense
gun with a load of #4 buck!

Is there an adapter to allow the 1/2 size shells to be used like the Mossberg?

When you purchase a Rem Tac 14 with a steel receiver & barrel having a 3″ chamber why would you want to reduce its capabilities to a 20ga or 410 after all this is a self defense or tactical firearm! They will handle down to 2 1/2″ rounds, but again why would you desire having less shot in the shorter shells when longer shells hold more???

Then order a magazine extender from Scattergun Tech. The one rd. ext. will put the magazine even with the front of the barrel.
