USA –-(Ammoland.com)- WMBF TV 32 (Raycom Media) reports 07-23-18 in Robeson County, North Carolina, Deputies are investigating after a man was shot multiple times Friday night while inside a woman’s storage building.

According to a news release from the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a home in the 5000 block of East Great Marsh Church Road in St. Pauls around 6:40 p.m.

Upon their arrival, a 39-year-old man was found shot multiple times.

A 68-year-old woman who owns the residence heard a noise inside of her storage building and found the man standing in a corner inside.

The woman fired five shots at him after he approached her in an “aggressive manner.” She further stated the man was “lunging towards her.”

The man was taken by EMS to an undisclosed hospital for treatment. His injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

Comments:

It is certainly reasonable for the woman to check the noises in her outside storage building before bothering the police. Most often these are small animals or just items falling over that create the suspicious sounds.

This one turns out to be an aggressive human intruder!

Fortunately, the 68-year-old female was smart enough to have her firearm with her. The investigation is ongoing and the intruder’s story has yet to be heard but this certainly appears justified.

    1. Job well done, this time. Handgun Caliber, Ammo and Shot placement unknown for recommendation.
If necessary Shoot to Stop was and is the best you can do.
      Photo training much better.

    2. Under all circumstances the reality that you have shot someone can be rather hard on you I have no idea what really happened and from the article no one else does she certainly has the right to defend yourself, when I teach someone self-defense I do teach them empty the gun if you pull a gun out you should have already made the decision to use if necessary .

    4. Once again proof that your performance under stress falls to your lowest level of practice. Woman needs to practice more in order to cleanse the gene pool in such a situation.

    5. @ Dr. Strangelove: Unfortunately ‘Smartphones’ makes most stupid. They nolonger read anything in full, don’t books or periodicals. They all just read the headlines (and believe them to) ! Really how much will anyone read on such small devices that were created specifically for that reason. Shortening current and future generations attention spans to zero by dumbing them down.

    6. Strange that anyone would question this woman’s actions. As a 15 year CCH instructor, I know a little bit about the Use of Deadly Force Laws in the state of NC…She did not / does not have to see a weapon in possession by the attacker; she is perfectly legal to not retreat on her own property and 3rd, if she felt in imminent danger of Great Bodily Harm, Death, or Sexual Assault, she has every right under NC law to use Deadly Defensive Force. Good for her and there will probably not be any charges brought.

    7. I see we have the usual keyboard commandos second guessing the woman after she successfully stopped a threat. I think that the ones who talk the biggest are the most ;likely to pee their panties in a stressful situation like this.

      1. She shot him every time she found him?

Makes perfect sense if you think a smart billionaire would want donations to pay off a blackmailer. Poor Stormy, she must have thought $130,000 was a whole lot better than she’d ever earned before. Then she realized that if she did a tell all book she’d owe Donald millions. So she broke the NDA and I wonder when she’ll repay the money? She’ll have to make a lot of movies.
