CORTEZ, Colo. – -(AmmoLand.com)- Equipment Today, the nationally recognized equipment magazine which serves commercial construction contractors, has selected Tuffy Security Products’ Model 334 Center Console Insert for Ford(r) F-150 XLT models as one of the favored new construction products of 2018.

Editorial teams from Equipment Today and ForConstructionPros.com collected inquiries and site engagement from new products featured in Equipment Today over a 12 month period between May 2017 and April 2018. The top 50 winning products represent the leading edge of innovation, quality, efficiency and productivity in the construction equipment field today.

Tuffy Security’s Model 334 is a security console insert designed specifically for 2009 to 2014 Ford F-150 XLT pickup trucks equipped with a full center console. Model 334 console inserts insert directly into the OEM console and are installed without drilling. Featuring Tuffy’s exclusive Pry-Guard locking system, the patent-pending Model 334 is made of 1/8-inch thick welded steel components and welded 16 gauge steel construction and has a durable texture powder coated finish. Exclusive lid support enables users to easily keep the lid open while accessing contents. Truck owners maintain the full use of the factory center console accessory tray, armrest and lid.

“The products recognized by the annual Contractors’ Top 50 New Products awards represent what contractors are seeking most to boost functionality on their construction projects,” asserts Becky Schultz, Equipment Today editor. “The high level of interest they generated from Equipment Today readers and visitors to ForConstructionPros.com demonstrates that these are products contractors feel are capable of improving performance, efficiency and productivity on their jobsites.”

Tuffy Security Products is a company dedicated to providing high-quality security products to customers. With the Model 334 console insert, construction workers can leave their wallets, cell phones and other valuables locked inside the work truck while keeping the rest of the truck unlocked for ease of access. Console inserts are neatly hidden from view, allowing another level of protection.

Additional information on the award recipients can be found in the September issue of Equipment Today and on ForConstructionPros.com.

Don’t know how Tuffy won when Console Vault covers far more vehicles, has better lock options, fits like a glove so as to be pry-proof, comes with every necessary part and piece for easy installation and is made to hold handguns with a padded interior base. I can personally attest to their fit and finish and headache free installation.

For other vehicles and a perfect fit go to consolevault.com. Don’t know why Tuffy won with so limited vehicle use availability but I can personally attest to Console Vault for the vast number of vehicles they have vaults for and the ease of installation, starting with providing every part and piece and the near organic fit within the console and instead of some lid prop like on the Tuffy product, Console Vault lids are spring loaded and pop up once you’ve released the lock. Because of the fit and finish they are pry-proof as well.

I appreciate the information. When I bought my 2006 Dodge 2500 HD, I was kinda surprised that I didn’t have any kind of a locking device inside the cab of my truck. I’ll definitely look into the link you gave me because although I have a bulldog safe under my seat, that cable won’t last long if someone has the right tools to cut it. Then I’ll have lost both the safe and pistol. My kid to my center console is in bad shape so it’s time to replace it with something practical that will keep my pistol and valuables… Read more »

Would’ve been nice to know about other trucks other than ford!
