Virginia Senator Mark Warner Now *Pushing* Gun Control? Take Action!

Virginia – -(AmmoLand.com)- Senator Mark Warner was good on guns when he was the governor of Virginia. He signed several important gun bills into law, including one of our prize jewels: Virginia's firearms preemption law passed in 2004.

However, everything changed once Warner was elected as one of Virginia's two federal senators. Since that day, Mark Warner has done next to nothing for gun owners and mostly supported gun control.

He did manage to vote “no” on an “Assault Weapon” Ban bill in 2013, and he now says he regrets even that token vote for gun rights! (see: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/i-voted-against-an-assault-weapons-ban-heres-why-i-changed-my-mind/2018/10/01/3b…),

Things have continued to slide downhill with Warner. Now Warner is actually SPONSORING an “Assault Weapon” Ban bill! So he has not been supportive of gun rights AND now he is actively working against Virginia's gun owners and the Constitution by introducing gun-control legislation!

WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT

Enough is enough. Warner is supposed to be representing us and he needs to be reminded that 1) we are out here and watching him and 2) we do not want any more gun control. In fact we want the Hearing Protection Act and we want National Reciprocity passed out of the Senate and signed into law.

Ignoring Warner's bad behavior will only encourage him to keep going down his current path of trying to be a gun-control leader, like Chuck Schumer. If Warner gets a load of pushback, he might at least stop introducing gun-control bills.

ACTION ITEM

Overloading his telephone lines AND flooding his inbox with webmail will get his attention. We need to do both in a polite, but FIRM way.

Warner's phone number to leave messages: 202-224-2023

Suggested subject: When are you going to stand up for Virginia's gun owners?

Suggested message:

We do NOT need more gun control, including the “assault weapon” ban that you are now pushing. If gun control worked, Chicago, Maryland, and DC would be the safest places on the planet. Virginia, with its strong support of gun rights, including not having an “assault weapon” ban, is far safer than any of those places.

When are you going to do something for the 1.5 million gun owners and the 425,000 concealed handgun permit holders in Virginia for a change?

We need you to stop supporting gun control and start supporting things like the Hearing Protection Act and National Concealed Carry Reciprocity. You represent VIRGINIA and its values, not California.

    1. For Democrats and liberals in general, “gun control” is good politics. When you oppose tough policing, stop and frisk, manditory sentences for felonies, capital punishment and, instead, call for “prison reform” (freeing convicts), then gun control advocacy is one way to pretend that you are doing something against crime.

    2. He has joined the ranks of,
      IDEOLOGICAL CHAMELEONS
Ideological chameleons follow the simple social strategy of avoiding controversy and confrontation by espousing the beliefs of the people in their immediate vicinity or advocating the philosophy of those who scream the loudest in a debate. Quite a few supposedly pro Second Amendment public officials have shown themselves to be ideological chameleons when they supported restrictions on the private possession of military style semiautomatic rifles following recent atrocities in which such firearms were employed. Like their reptilian namesake, people who merely blend in with the ambient philosophical foliage seem to have little insight into the moral and social ramifications of their actions. Political and/or economic gain along with avoidance of confrontation are their only goals.

    3. The real people of the State of Virginia have no choice. Like the real people of New York and New Jersey, they are governed by the votes from the large, democRAT population of sucks and welfare bums that elect absolute jerks like the Mayor and the Governor. Virginia is ruled by the liberal democRAT weenies that live there but suck off the federal government as bureaucrats in D.C.
In order to change the picture, there has t be a happening like that which elected PRESIDENT TRUMP !
THE PEOPLE, regardless of party affiliations, have to get a belly full of the liberal, progressive weenies and band together and vote them out.
2016 showed that no amount of “fixing” or “propaganda” or the same false promises, will work if THE PEOPLE say NO !

    4. Gun control is not the problem, they need criminal control pass a law if you fuck up no more release from prison. Or jail you mess up that it life behind bars or the death penalty

    5. Since the U S ‘s supreme law of the land is the Constitution, wouldn’t it be more effective to ban anti Constitution/American Leftard’s.

      1. It would be better to charge them with TREASON, give them a fair trial, and then let them dance at the end of a rope. What they are doing is waging war against the Supreme Law of the Land, and by doing that they are unraveling the fabric of our Republic, and exposing us to great danger and harm in the future. This jerk in Virginia is just another name to put on the “deal with harshly” list when the tipping point is reached. Don’t these arseholes know that their unconstitutional laws are meaningless due to the Supremacy Clause, and that they are only identifying themselves as the pussilanemous oath breaking TRAITORS that they are ? Don’t they know that they will be held accountable in a court of law ? Remember how Mussolini ended up ? He thought he could get away with anything, also

        1. @THC, Nope, it would not be better because treason is very specifically defined in the Constitution, and what they are doing does not fit that definition. But you are correct. Changes have to be made. There must be instituted a charge for betraying one’s oath.
We the people need to create more and better controls over our governmental employees (e.g. term limits, the Right to recall, and no more life salaries or retirement programs for federal politicians.)

          1. @WB…”Levying War” may not necessarily be interpreted as limited only to the actual act of physically picking up a weapon and joining an army that is intent on destroying physical property and personnel belonging to the USA Gov’t. There are also ideological wars that can be waged with the intent of destroying the fabric of our nation, our laws and customs. Quite often these types of wars can be a concerted effort by members of a group mindset, and an allegiance to a foreign entity, that is intent on our destruction. It has been said before that there are at least 2 weapons of war, one being military hardware, and the other being DEBT. Rape figures in there also, like what we have recently seen across Europe, perpetrated by Economic Migrants against a disarmed population. It would be interesting to hear what Kavanaugh et al would have to say about this. But as far as I am concerned, the people behind the spreading of ideas that denigrate the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, know exactly what they are doing, and that is war against our Republic. They aim to destroy our rights so as to weaken us and make it easy for the next phase, IMHO. And during the past century we saw the same pattern used to disarm the populace, and once that was done the democide began. Some say over 200 million people were murdered by their own governments, after their own governments disarmed them using the same arguments and tactics that are being used against us.
