USA –-(Ammoland.com)- Death of Journalism.

CNN reporter Jim Acosta's suspension of his press credentials stemmed from his “placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern.” We are a far cry from Walter Chronkite's time when you just reported the facts of the story. Instead of trying to be the story.

@OV, you are correct, sir! Card carrying. Cronkite, however, was smarter than these neophytes. Cronkite worked for years to gain the trust of the American people. He knew that he could only play the deception card one time. He waited for a pivotal moment.
He reported Tet as an American loss, and he told the world that America could not win. Nothing was further from the truth. We destroyed the Viet Cong as a fighting force. But Americans at home bought the lie.

YouTube: Walter Cronkite. He is shown saying he’s all for world government. And he was a gatekeeper.

It is NOT only what they make up and present as fictional news, possibly more “dangerous” is the real news that they do NOT report or quickly gloss over. Cronkite is a poor example of a so-called journalist–just a liar with crediblity back then. After I got out of the Army I watched the NIGHTLY CBS television coverage of the battle of Khe Sanh. Part of it was Chronkite’s reporting of the “several” C-130s being shot down on the runway bringing in supplies eac day. Problem was it was the same plane with coverage of it on fire from several… Read more »

CNN has Better ( so called reporters ) than Him !
Give One of them a Chance in the WH. press corp .
It Might improve their Ratings !
Let him cover garbage pick up disputes !
or Roadkill pick up & Removal issues .
Even that is Too good for him !

What passes for journalism in this country in this day and time is a farce and should be filed under “fiction” and “fantasy”, not “News”.

The cartoon is exactly right. Acosta’s entire body could NOT fill the big toe of Cronkite’s shoe! And if you did not know Cronkite was a very strong liberal, but he said he would never let his personal views get in the way of his job. Smart man!

IT MUST BE A WRITTEN/UNDERSTOOD STATEMENT TO JOURNALIST(PROBABLY TAUGHT BY THE LIBERAL ACADEMIA IN UNIVERSITIES) THAT YOU MUST REPORT AS A LIBERAL LEFTIST SOCIALIST AMERICA HATING BASTARD OR YOU DO NOT WORK FOR THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA….
CRANKCASE WAS A LIBERAL, JUST LIKE 99PER CENT OF ALL JOURNALIST TODAY.
WHEN THE SOCIALIST LEFTIST DICTATOR TYPES TAKE OVER, JUST WHERE THE HELL DO JOURNALIST THINK THEY WILL BE HEADED?…….FOOLS…THEY WILL PROBABLY BE…BEHEADED….WHAT FOOLS! AS “Q” SAYS….”THESE PEOPLE ARE STUPID!”

Hate to say this, but Chronkite was not above stretching facts to suit liberal ideology. If you were alive to watch his “reporting” of the events of the 60s you were only given the left perspective. This is especially true concerning Vietnam and his on air declaration that the war was lost. Walter was quite the morale builder. With only three news outlets during that time people actually believed he was reporting accurately.

Thank you for saying what I was going to say. In a nutshell, Walter Cronkite (correct spelling) was nothing more than a shill for leftist ideology. This shilling for the left by news outlets has been going on for a long, long, long time. Because they are leftists themselves.
