Consequences of 2018: Mad Nadler Attacks Our Rights

Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-Manhattan)
Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-Manhattan)

Washington, D.C. – -(AmmoLand.com)- You can’t say that there was no warning. Last year, Ammoland discussed how our rights would be at risk with Jerrold Nadler as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. At the time, I noted, “In terms of his voting record, Nadler is just as bad as Charles Schumer and Dianne Feinstein. There is one major difference – he has just been much more low-key, and as a result, he is under the radar.”

Well, Nadler is no longer under the radar, folks. Furthermore, he’s left no doubt that he is just as bad as Feinstein. Oh, he doesn’t have a “Mr. and Mrs. America” moment, but according to Cybercast News Service, he has embraced Australia as an example when it comes to firearms ownership. Which, for all intents and purposes, means he wants to confiscate your modern sporting rifles, your modern multi-purpose shotguns, and even your old pump-action shotguns that were handed down from your parents or other relatives.

But Australia-style goes beyond that. One has to show a “genuine purpose” to own a gun. And as is the case with the so-called discretionary-issue states (really no-issue states as a general rule), self-defense is often not considered a good reason to have a gun. Australia is the “needs-based” licensing system of Sarah Brady’s dreams. Oh, and you can forget concealed carry of any stripe, either. If self-defense is no longer a valid reason to own a gun… they why would they even think about letting you carry one?

And here is something that should wake a lot of people up: Jerrold Nadler thinks he can eventually pull it off. He’s thinking long-term, and he has a plan to get there. He knows that the current situation won’t let him get that Australia-type legislative package, but he can lay the groundwork to get it. In this, he has a far better grasp of strategy and tactics than many of those who deride the NRA as “Negotiating Rights Away” or who label Second Amendment supporters trying to effectively counter Nadler’s extreme anti-Second Amendment agenda as “Fudds.”

There were tons of close races for House seats this year… races that almost uniformly tipped against the most viable pro-Second Amendment candidates. How many of those who denounced the NRA or other Second Amendment supporters for insufficient purity empowered Nadler either through votes for third-party candidates or by sitting out the midterms? They didn’t defend the Second Amendment, they helped Bloomberg by putting Nadler in a position where he could go on offense.

But that offense is really not the big prize. Legislative and political battles are really holding actions for two to four years. The Supreme Court, while important, gives a longer respite of about two or three decades. The real battle is an ongoing one for the hearts and minds of our fellow Americans.

We won’t ever get Nadler, Chuck Schumer, or Dianne Feinstein to give up efforts to take away our rights over shootings we never committed. But that isn’t what we need to do. We can and must focus our efforts on convincing our fellow Americans that those anti-Second Amendment extremists are in the wrong to punish millions of law-abiding citizens who either wish to exercise their Second Amendment rights responsibly or who actually do exercise those rights for the actions of criminals and madmen.

This is a battle that cannot be won or lost with just a few pronouncements about the Second Amendment. No, this is an ongoing fight, and the right strategy and tactics, including coming across in the right way, will give us a better chance of having a more favorable political climate to win those hearts and minds.

    1. Ok, first of all I live in commie mid amerika ill in wah. We have so much bs in this state with our new commie goober only winning 5 counties in the state. But he had every dead person in the state voting for him as well.

What I saw in the last mid term election was rampant widespread voter suppression with the mass media and internet services like Facebook twatter and utube scrubbing conservative messages stories and forwarding actual stories from other countries. This was accompanied by widespread voter fraud. Illegals, boxes of ballots for Democrat candidates being “found” in trunks of vehicles and offices “just in time” and crates of overseas ballots from service members being prohibited from being counted was part of it.
And then there was the widespread lies of supposed wrongs by the Republican candidate being October surprises and ballot bundling by lefty operatives. The stories were set to do the most damage at the perfect time to prevent the ability to investigate and correct it with the truth. of course widespread media slamming of the lies were set to also get the most damage out of the lies, then, if there was a retraction, it was buried on page 12, so to speak. I totally believe the media was not only a participant but entirely culpable as a co conspirator on this action.

Change my mind…. you cant, trust me, as sad as it is, this country is a piece of bread, the handle pushed down, the elements on high, just waiting to pop out the top done…. toast…..

      1. What people fail to realize, what people have a problem with, what people try to dismiss as antisemitism is the FACT the majority of these politicians are:
        1) Former lawyers
        2) Have allegiances to Israel
        3) Belong to a political ideal supporting socialism/communism – think Bolshevik revolution
This ought to open our eyes who is behind those who desire to take our guns away. It is documented historically – all countries/governments who took away guns & gun rights ended with socialism/communism.
“The GOAL of socialism is communism.” – Vladimir Lenin
It has NEVER ended any other way – always a form of slavery.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of “liberalism,” they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened. I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democratic Party has adopted our platform.” ― Norman Thomas

    2. I think Nadler has a problem with “little man syndrome” and he wants to be the big guy in the gun removal from us big guys that tower over him. I don’t mean we just tower over him physically but mentally as well. What else can you say except that he is from NY and that is where they would put the enima if the country needed a bowel movement. He would do well in Aussie country because they are subjects rather than citizens.

    3. The Unconstitutional assault against us is being/has been indoctrinated into the minds of children in both, primary, and secondary schools around the country… by extreme leftist instructors, teaching activism/agendas, and trial by public opinion. They hold us guilty until proven innocent. Falsely accusing the innocent of the evil perpetrated upon them by their own peers, elders, and people in positions of authority!
Bush tried to prevent every child from being left behind, now it seems some fell between the cracks..
We have survivors of demented shooters being raised up by Socialist Elites to overthrow our rights, trying to circumvent our laws.

We do need to consider the generational/long-term attitudes of our families-children-grandchildren, our neighbors and the public… Take a kid/our children: fishing, hunting, shooting, camping, show them how to forage, live off the land, grow their own food, to be self sufficient, etc… Clean up after themselves, work with their hands, use their minds, teach them the value of things money cannot buy, to treat others with respect, not to litter, consider other peoples feelings before acting, etc…. We need to help our children discover who they are and what they’re good at.. teach them the right/path that is meant for them. Give them purpose, confidence, and self worth, a reason to live and to let live, etc…

… If we don’t do it, the street gangs will!

If we continue to insult and offend everyone while we exercise our rights, than we jeopardize or own cause…
MLK knew this, and he taught it. Let’s not add fuel to the fire agains us!

We need to step back and see the bigger picture if we are to win. It’s not enough just to claim our Constitutional rights these days.. The left doesn’t care what our rights are. The people who used guns illegally violated the rights of the people that were shot… It’s a sad excuse to justify what they’re doing…

Trump is not just idly sitting by either.. contrary to the main stream media’s reports…
The FFA is being brought back into the limelight. Trump just signed HR-439, modernizing the FFA.
He is putting the FFA back in school..
It should help keep the family farm stay in business, reduce the social backlash/culture shock from groups unaccustomed to people who actually produce the food for America…
Teaching kids about how the animals are raised to produce food, agriculture/crops, etc…
Make life less cyber natural/virtual and bring them back to reality..

      https://www.agdaily.com/ffa/national-ffa-federal-charter-signed/

“The law updates the National FFA Federal Charter in several ways including a guarantee of the relevance of agricultural education in our nation’s schools and prepare students to fill the 235 unique careers in agriculture; updates to the selection process of the National FFA Board of Directors; and new opportunities to collaborate with the U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Department of Agriculture and other federal agencies. It also grants additional power to the National FFA Delegates to make important organizational changes as needed without requiring an act of Congress.”

    4. Here we go again…Harold HacksUpSome vomiting against disgruntled NRA members who call them out for them giving anti 2nd amendment RINOs “A” ratings and supporting infringements like Bumpstock bans and Red Flag legislation. Trying to place blame for the likes of Nadler on us is disingenuous on your part HAROLD! The more you insult us the further you push us against wanting to work within the NRA. Your attempts to shame us into falling in line are only going to fortify our resolve to send our financial support to TRUE 2nd Amendment groups and to defund the NRA.

      1. Spot on! Harold would obviously prefer slow motion suicide than a full on frontal attack. I’ll take the full on frontal so we can put these vipers to rest permanently.

    5. Tell Nadler to move back to Australia and stay there. We sure don’t need him or his crazy ass ideas here in America. Besides that, when Australia had the chance to vote to become a separate(from England) they voted to stay a colony. Are you kidding me? Australia is the size of America, England is a little, tiny country where citizens(oops, subjects) have no rights. Nadler why don’t you go live in North Korea!

      1. @Patriot, “Nads” Nailer is the kind that seeks power over others. He has found that power here. He won’t ever go back. The only answer is to defeat him at election. Get something on him. Find a candidate that can defeat him, and support that person. Or use a Russian technique!

    6. As President (NRA) Heston said, regarding his willingness to give up his guns, “From my cold, dead hands”. I believe this applies to every member of this forum. The traitors–Schumer, Feinstein, Nadler and Bloomberg–seem to not understand this.

Their proposed proscriptions on our 2d Amendment rights are not quite the same use of governmental authority as, say, regulating how fast one may drive on a particular section of highway or what days of the week one may water the lawn in drought conditions. They are playing with fire and are likely, if they persist, to reap the whirlwind of their treachery. American patriots will never yield to this tyrannical behavior. That is why there is a 2d Amendment in the first place.
      Semper Fi.

      1. Well said, Ralph. I would also add that our elected politicians (as if anyone didn’t know) use gun control issues as vote-getting techniques, in the same way that they have welcomed illegal aliens into the country in order to gain a larger voter base. As for me, I will fight for the Second Amendment and will continue to vote against any politician who tries to undermine the intent and meaning of the 2A. If we don’t fight for our God-given freedoms, we will lose them.

    7. Nader repeatedly stated in yesterday’s committee meeting 90% of Americans want expanded background checks. Not one Republican challenged his facts or broke down his phony gun related death figures. We need facts and we need a voice to get the facts out to the American people. Did you hear that NRA, GOA and other gun rights organizations?

      1. I am afraid the entire political system is broke and may never be repaired. The recent mid-terms proved that voting doesn’t matter any longer. Trump warned us to vote GOP. We did. The GOP lost the House NOT because the left got more votes unless you count all the dead people and illegal votes. Only a couple of GOP contested the votes and NOT ONE GOP brought up voter FRAUD despite ample proof. Add to that the ease with which even an 11-year old hacked the election machines and we have no reliable, trustworthy system to cast legitimate votes.

The GOP are passive cowards as proven last year during the Kavanah hearings. How many of the GOP stormed out of the hearings, filed complaints, confronted Feinstein and the other democRAT circus clowns. NOT ONE!!
The FACT not one GOP brought the FACTS to the table MUST tell you something – they are NOTHING more than the other side of a 2-sided coin. Both parties are complicit in the conspiracy to destroy OUR country. They have ALL been paid off in one way or another. Everyone of them should be impeached and hung or just simply hung for TREASON!
We should have figured out in the last 5 decades, politicians will LIE just to get their seat and coast on to retirement. How has so few figured this out? The GOP will lie about being pro-2A and when it comes for them to stand against the communists they kneel.
We can no longer trust either party; they are working together. One is loud, abusive, manipulative; the other is like the cowardly lion – passive, quiet unless it suits them to get re-elected. Our 2 party system is useless pitting one side against the other like 2 brothers arguing which one should get the car. When it comes to SERVING the public – forget it, they have more important things to do – like filling their coffers. I am sick and tired of all politicians. Think on this – at least 3/4 are former lawyers who’s specialty is to lie and manipulate everything & everyone in court.
What we, as Pro-2 A lack, is organization. We desperately need well organized resistance as groups. On our own, as individuals we will lose. We’ve seen this time and again – kick the door in at 3:00 am, kill the dog, seize the weapons and as Chump said … “…take the guns and worry about due process later…” So all you Chump fans out there had better rethink your support. Oh yeah, “Well if we didn’t vote for Chump, Killary would have won…” Tired of that one. with the other one confiscation would have been much quicker but the one we got is taking his time.

    8. “There were tons of close races for House seats this year… races that almost uniformly tipped against the most viable pro-Second Amendment candidates. How many of those who denounced the NRA or other Second Amendment supporters for insufficient purity empowered Nadler either through votes for third-party candidates or by sitting out the midterms? They didn’t defend the Second Amendment, they helped Bloomberg by putting Nadler in a position where he could go on offense.”
Here’s what I think happened. The GOPE allowed a mass wave of retirements to occur putting numerous House and Senate seats up for grabs. Why? To pass control of the House and Senate to the Democrats because the GOPE hates Donald Trump. That’s why it has been so hard for Donald Trump to get The Wall built. The GOPE is NOT conservative. Don’t blame the voters when the GOPE set itself up (again) to lose.

    9. This is America and not Australia and he is ignoring the fact that the crime rate went up in Australia when they took guns away from law abiding citizens because the criminals didn’t turn in their guns. The criminals in America want turn their guns in ( the difference in America is as I law abiding citizen I have Rights and I will not turn my guns in !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      1. It certainly is. If this article accurately describes Nadler’s IQ and decision-making skills (which it does!), that waste-of-human-skin has NO business in any position of leadership – social, religious, or political.
